Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound ground beef
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) beef broth
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the mixed vegetables, tomatoes, broth and pepper. Bring to a boil; add macaroni. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until macaroni and vegetables are tender.

This hearty soup is a family favorite.

1 pound lean ground beef
½ cup onion (diced)
6 cups beef broth
14 ounces diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon dried basil
1 ½ cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables

Steps:

  • In a large soup pot brown beef and onion until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
  • Add broth, tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in macaroni noodles and vegetables, simmer an additional 8 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
  • Serve with shredded cheese if desired.

A great old-fashioned soup recipe;true comfort food. You can make this in your slow cooker in the morning, leave it on Low, but add the macaroni the last 1/2 hour only. Sprinkle on freshly grated parmesan cheese and enjoy a taste of yesterday.

1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon butter
2 onions, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
1/2 cup celery leaves, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, cubed
8 cups beef broth
2 teaspoons onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup macaroni, uncooked
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oil and butter.
  • Add onion,carrots, celery and celery leaves and sauté until softened.
  • Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix and beef broth.
  • Simmer for 45 minutes; add macaroni and cook on Low until pasta is cooked(app 30 minutes.).
  • Taste and add salt and pepper.

1 medium cauliflower, ...small florets, or use frozen
3 Tbsp butter
1 lb ground beef
1 medium tomatoes,.... canned and cut up
3/4 c chopped onion
8 c hot...water....yes hot!
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp celery salt
1/4 c parsley flakes
1 c elbow maccaroni.......to cook in the soup
parmesan grated cheese.... to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare the cauliflower head. Wash and cut off the florets. Put in cold water with 1 teaspoon of salt. Let sit at least 10-15 minutes while you continue with the recipe.
  • 2. Peel and dice the onion. Set aside.
  • 3. Melt butter in a saucepan. Brown the ground beef slightly.
  • 4. Add the tomatoes and onions and drained cauliflower to the pot with the ground beef.
  • 5. Add 4 cups hot water to the same pot. Cover tightly and simmer for thirty minutes
  • 6. Add the remainder of hot water (4 cups), uncooked dry elbow macaroni , pepper, parsley and celery salt. cook until macaroni's are tender. If freezing soup..Add the pasta when soup is thawed!
  • 7. For a added great taste serve soup topped with the grated parmesan cheese. You might be surprised how delicious the added cheese does to this soup.
