HOMEMADE CHEX MIX RECIPE
Great Grandma's homemade chex mix recipe! An easy recipe that can be made in one pan. Makes a large batch perfect for parties, gift giving, anything!

Steps:
- Place butter in bottom of roasting pan in preheating oven, set to 250ºF. Allow butter to melt completely, about 5 minutes or so.
- Once butter has melted, remove pan from oven and add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings, stir to combine. Add in cereal, pretzels and nuts stirring really well until sauce has coated mixture. Stir really well using spatula, getting in all of the corners of the pan.
- Bake chex mix for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Allow chex mix to cool completely before storing. TIP: Spread out chex mix in large baking sheets so it's in one layer to speed up cooling process.

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and line two large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss chex cereal and pretzels with the melted butter, vegetable oil, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt.
- Pour onto prepared baking sheets in an even layer and bake for 1 hour, tossing halfway through.
- Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

GRANDMA'S CHEX MIX
Betty made this by the gallons and placed it in tins around her house. I believe she copied it from the old orginal chex mix recipe on the back of the cereal box. I've made it several times but have been told by my oldest it doesn't quite taste the same. I guess it just needs a dash of grandma to make it just right.

- 1. Combine cereal, ( I used a mixture of corn, wheat, and rice) nuts and pretzels in 13x9x2 pan. Mix other ingredients and mix well until cereal is evenly coated.
- 2. Bake at 250 for about 45 minutes stirring evey 15 minutes. (Spread on paper towels to cool) Store in air tight containers.
