This recipe is so old took us years to figure out how to make it with Margarine instead of Oleo as the original recipe called for. Family favorite, have to make for every holiday!

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 - refrigerated pie crusts (not deep dish)
3 cup(s) sugar
6 - eggs beaten
3 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
2 cup(s) pecans, halved
2 stick(s) plus 3 tablespoons margarine (real butter dosent work)
9 tablespoon(s) unsweetened cocoa
1 - 8 oz tub of whipped topping

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Melt margarine, stove top, whisk in cocoa, sugar,beaten eggs, and vanilla. Stir about 2-3 minutes. Until well blended and sugar melted. Pour into to both unbaked pie crusts, add 1 cup pecans to each pie. Stir in. bake 45- 55 minutes until ingredients pufs up and starts to crack. place on cooling rack. serve with whipped topping and enjoy! Wow your gonna love this!

This is made just like a traditional pecan pie, with the addition of chocolate chips. It is very fudgy. It is always the first dessert to go at our family's Thanksgiving!

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
3 eggs
⅔ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup margarine, melted
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup pecan halves
1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Beat eggs, sugar, salt, margarine, and syrup with hand beater. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  • Bake until set, 40 to 50 minutes. Cool.
