GRANDMA'S OLD-FASHIONED APPLE CRISP

Grandma's Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp image

Simple, old-fashioned apple crisp. If you want something simple and homemade on hand, you can double the filling recipe (I use a 5-pound bag of Granny Smith apples) and freeze half of it.

GRANDMA BARB'S CARAMELIZED APPLE CRISP

Grandma Barb's Caramelized Apple Crisp image

This recipe came from my Grandma Barb, and it's the only apple crisp recipe I will make. The addition of a simple syrup over the top of the apples gives this special crisp a caramelized consistency that really makes it stand out.
