2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained
1 (10 ounce) can mung bean sprouts, drained
1 red onion, sliced
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup white sugar
½ cup distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Mix together vinegar, oil, sugar, and garlic powder. Add onion. Mix beans and bean sprouts into the vinegar and oil mixture. Cover and marinate overnight before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 8

20 ounce(s) packaged frozen green beans
4 slice(s) bacon, diced
2/3 cup(s) chopped onion
1 tablespoon(s) all purpose flour
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) half and half
1/4 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/2 cup(s) battered ritz cracker crumbs

Steps:

  • Cook green beans according to package directions; omitting salt; drain. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, reserving drippings. Saute onion in drippings until tender; remove onion, and set aside.
  • Add flour and sugar to bacon ; cook over low heat one minute, stirring well. add milk, cook stirring constantly until thickened. stir in mayonnaise, green beans, bacon, and onion. Spoon into a lightly greased 1 1/2quart casserole. sprinkle top evenly with shredded cheese and buttered cracker crumbs. bake at 350 fereinheit for 20 minutes. serve
