SWEET HAWAIIAN YEAST BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)
This is a great bread machine recipe that substitutes pineapple juice for the usual water, making it extra flavorful. The ingredient list is for a 1.5 lb loaf.

Steps:
- This makes a two-pound loaf.
- Follow the instructions that came with your bread machine in terms of which ingredients to put in the bread machine first. (My bread machine recommends adding the liquids first.) Use the basic or sweet setting.
- I made mine with the bread machine set at medium crust. It came out a little darker than I'd like. The next time I'm going to use the light crust setting.
- Check on the dough after five or ten minutes of kneading. It should be a smooth, round ball. If it's too dry add liquid a teaspoon at a time until it looks OK. If it looks too wet, add flour a tablespoon at a time until it looks OK. Most of the time though, the above amounts should be just right.

HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS (BREAD MACHINE)
Every time I make these rolls, I get raving compliments! This is an excellent potluck dish! It is very important to use McCormick brand coconut extract for the right flavor! For the fluffiest rolls, make sure all the ingredients and the kitchen are warm. This was intended to be a copycat of King's Hawaiian Rolls, but according to my husband, these taste way better when done right!

Steps:
- Bring all cold ingredients to room temperature (pineapple juice, egg, milk, butter). This will take about 30 minutes, but you can speed it up a little bit with the microwave if you're not feeling patient.
- Add the pineapple juice to your bread machine.
- Beat the egg and add to your bread machine.
- Add the milk to your bread machine.
- Divide the butter into small pieces (no larger than 1 tablespoon) and add to the bread machine.
- Add McCormick coconut extract, ground ginger, salt, sugar, potato flakes, and flour to the bread machine, in that order.
- Make a small well in the flour, and pour the yeast in the well.
- Run your bread machine on the dough cycle to knead the dough.
- After the kneading cycle, let the dough rise until doubled in size - about 1 hour. (I let mine rise in the bread machine).
- Grease a 13"x9" pan.
- Divide the dough into 12-15 rolls and place next to each other in the pan (this will get them soft sides).
- IMPORTANT! Sometimes the dough will be a little sticky to handle while you're doing this (and that's okay!). Do NOT even think about adding more flour! I mean it! I can't stress that enough! It will toughen your rolls. You can try greasing your hands with cooking spray if you want them to be easier to handle. If that still doesn't work, then just enjoy the stickiness knowing that your rolls will be nice and fluffy!
- Cover with a towel and let rise until doubled in size - about 1 hour - in a warm place. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Bake rolls in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden on top.
- Immediately upon removing the rolls from the oven, brush the tops with butter.
- Let cool in the pan until the rolls are cool enough to handle. Then remove from pan.
- TIP: If you will not be eating the rolls right away, transfer the rolls to a large enough bowl to hold them. Place a lid on top and vent it, taking care that no rolls touch the lid. Closing the airflow off while they are warm will make the rolls soggy. Leaving them out in open air will make the rolls crusty. Keeping them in a vented bowl until they are completely cool is very important for obtaining soft rolls! Once the rolls are completely cool, seal the bowl.

BREAD MACHINE RECIPE FOR KINGS HAWAIIAN BREAD
Thanks for all of the feed back, I made this this today after converting it from weights, to standard measurements and it tasted good, but was just a little dense. So I increased the yeast by 1/2 tsp. I hope you enjoy this recipe.

Steps:
- 1. This is a very straight forward process. Add all of the liquids into your bread machine first, then the solids.
- 2. Because this recipe has egg as an ingredient, do not put your machine on a delay timer, start the machine on the sweet bread cycle right after you have all of the ingredients in the bread machine.
- 3. This bread has sugar in it, so when it's done baking, remove the bread from the machine. If your machine has a keep warm cycle at the end, it may get your bread overly browned.
- 4. After removing the bread from the machine, let it cool on a rack for a while before cutting. Enjoy !
GOLDEN WHEAT HAWAIIAN BREAD MACHINE BREAD
I love Kings Hawaiian Sweet bread, so I went on a quest to find the perfect copy cat recipe. After doing some experimenting with different recipes, I came up with this one. This has a beautiful brown, soft crust and the light golden crumb is so moist and tender it melts in the mouth. As for the taste, well...I'll let you be the judge.

Steps:
- Make sure all liquid ingredients are room temperature, including the egg.
- Place ingredients in ABM as per manufacturers recommendations,.
- Select the Dough Cycle.
- Keep an eye on the dough half way into the first knead and adjust by adding either more flour or milk, 1 Tablespoon at a time as needed. (I usually have to add up to 2 Tablespoons of flour).
- When cycle is complete, press dough into a well greased 9" pie pan.
- Turn the dough over, greased side up and lightly press again to fill the circumference of the pan.
- Cover with a dry lint-free cloth.
- Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a warm, draft-free area. ( I put it in my convection oven on slow cook, 100 degrees and cover with a damp cloth).
- Preheat regular oven to 350 degrees.
- Bake the dough 25 to 30 minutes.
- (If baking in a convection oven reduce the temperature to 325 and bake the dough 30 to 35 minutes).
- Immediately turn out upside down onto a rack.
- Let cool completely before slicing.
- NOTE : When I measure my flour I do not spoon it into the measuring cup. I dip it out of the bag with the measuring cup and then level it off with a table knife. If you opt to use a spoon to fill the cup, the flour-liquid ratio may vary from what is listed in this recipe.
