5 cups white sugar
2 cups water
2 tablespoons clear imitation vanilla extract
2 tablespoons almond extract

Steps:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Cook, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Cool, and refrigerate.
  • To serve: In a punch bowl with ice, mix 1 cup syrup with 2 liters ginger ale or lemon-lime soda.

500ml chilled apple juice
500ml vanilla vodka (or add 1 tsp vanilla extract to plain vodka)
4 limes , 2 juiced, 2 cut into wedges
1 apple , thinly sliced
thumb-sized piece ginger , peeled and thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Combine ginger beer, apple juice, vanilla vodka and lime juice in a large jug.
  • Add apple, ginger and limes wedges to the punch. Add lots of ice just before serving.

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
1 cup orange juice
1 ½ liters ginger ale
1 apple

Steps:

  • In a large punch bowl, combine apple juice, cranberry juice concentrate and orange juice. Stir until dissolved, then slowly pour in the ginger ale.
  • Thinly slice the apple vertically, forming whole apple slices. Float apple slices on top of punch.
