Number Of Ingredients 10

1 medium cabbage, shredded
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
3/4 cup(s) sugar (1 of 2)
2 tablespoon(s) sugar (2 of 2)
3/4 cup(s) vinegar
3/4 cup(s) salad oil
1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
1 teaspoon(s) celery seed
1 teaspoon(s) sugar
2 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Alternate layers of cabbage and onions in a salad bowl. Sprinkle with sugar.
  • In a saucepan, combine vinegar, oil, mustard, 1 teaspoon sugar and salt. Heat to boiling.
  • Pour over slaw and refridgerate for at least 4 hours. Keeps for a week or more. You may add more cabbage as necessary.

1 teaspoon(s) sugar
2 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Alternate layers of cabbage & onion in salad bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and celery seed each layer. Combine vinegar, oil, mustard,1 tsp. sugar & salt. Heat to boiling point. Pour over slaw and put in refrigerator for up to 4 hours before serving.
