1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced French bread
3 jars (6-1/2 ounces each) marinated quartered artichoke hearts, drained
1-1/2 cups shredded pepper Jack cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Cut bread in half lengthwise; carefully hollow out top and bottom of loaf, leaving 1/2-in. shells. Cube removed bread; set aside., In a large bowl, combine the artichokes, pepper Jack cheese, sour cream, green chilies, garlic and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Add bread cubes and toss to coat. Spoon filling into bread shells; sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese., Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Remove foil; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until heated through. Slice and serve warm.

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup mayonnaise (such as Hellman's®)
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 loaf French bread, cut lengthwise in half

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine artichoke hearts, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, and garlic together in a bowl.
  • Spread artichoke topping evenly over the French bread halves. Place coated bread on a baking sheet.

I got this off a Hellmann's coupon, I think. It is super duper easy & extremely good. I made this for the first time last week for friends,and they raved & raved. It's like artichoke dip already on the bread! I liked it a bit broiled on top.

1 cup mayonnaise (I use light & it works fine)
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cups grated fresh parmesan cheese
1 jar artichoke heart, drained &,chopped
1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise

Steps:

  • Mix mayo, garlic, cheese and chopped artichoke hearts well.
  • Spread on bread-- it makes enough to spread each side of the bread.
  • Bake at 375* for 20 minutes.
  • Slice& serve hot.

  • Halve a loaf of Italian bread lengthwise, then crosswise. Mix 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 clove minced garlic and 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano; brush on the cut sides of the bread and toast 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Mix 2 tablespoons grated parmesan and 1 cup each shredded asiago and mozzarella; sprinkle on the bread and bake until melted, about 15 more minutes.

1 sourdough baguette (10 ounces)
1 tablespoon butter
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (2 ounces)
2 jars (6 1/2 ounces each) marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Halve baguette lengthwise; scoop out center with your fingers, and tear into small pieces. Set bread shells aside.
  • Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add bread pieces and garlic; cook until bread is golden brown, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine browned bread, sour cream, cheddar, Monterey Jack, artichoke hearts, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper; stir together.
  • Spoon mixture into reserved bread shells; sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake until browned on top, 20 to 25minutes. Cool 5 minutes before cutting into serving pieces. Garnish with parsley, if desired.

A twist on garlic bread! You can use 2 small baguettes instead of the larger one. Do not use the marinated artichoke hearts.

1 lb French baguette
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 cups cubed monterey jack cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and cut-up
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise.
  • Tear out the soft part of each half to form a shell, reserving the torn bread.
  • Saute the garlic and sesame seeds in butter in a skillet for 2 minutes or until tender ~ do not brown.
  • Add the torn bread to the garlic and saute until bread turns brown.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add sour cream, Monterey Jack, Parmesan, parsley, lemon pepper and artichoke hearts and mix well.
  • Arrange bread shells on a baking sheet.
  • Fill with the artichoke mixture and sprinkle each half with Cheddar.
  • Bake at 350º for 30 minutes; cool slightly.
  • Cut into slices and serve.
