Make sure you buy high quality, tender steaks. Nothing worse than to have it come out a little tough even when medium-rare! These are awesome! Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
2 teaspoons chili-garlic sauce
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tender steaks, 1-inch thick
2 -4 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • In ziploc baggie, combine first 5 ingredients.
  • Add steaks, turn bag over and over to coat both sides of each steak well.
  • Marinate in fridge for 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Heat broiler, remove steaks from bag saving marinade.
  • Place steaks on lightly geased broiler pan.
  • Spoon half of the marinade on steaks.
  • Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 4 minutes.
  • Turn steaks over, top with rest of marinade, and broil 4-5 minutes longer for medium rare.
  • Plate, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley.
  • *Let rest 5 minutes before eating.
  • You can also slice this thinly and serve over rice or make wraps.
  • These can also be cooked on a grill.

4 Tbl. soy sauce, i always use low-sodium
4 Tbl. hoisin, the dark thick brown kind (do not buy the red thin kind it's awful)
2 Tbl. dark sesame oil
2 tsp. chili-garlic sauce, in the aisian aisle or by the ketchups, etc.
4 minced garlic cloves
2 tender t-bones or porterhouse steaks, 1" thick or more
2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
a little fresh chopped parsley for ganish, optional

Steps:

4 steaks, porterhouse
2 tablespoons salt, kosher
2 teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground
4 tablespoons oil, canola

Steps:

  • Preheat a gas or charcoal grill or place a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Combine salt and pepper and sprinkle on both sides of each steak. Drizzle each side of steaks with canola oil.

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (2-pound) T-bone steak (about 1 inch thick), trimmed and at room temperature
Sea salt and cracked black pepper
6 sprigs thyme
6 cloves garlic, unpeeled

Steps:

  • Heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan over high heat for 1-2 minutes or until the butter starts to foam. Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper. Add the thyme, garlic and steak to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, spooning the butter over the steak, for medium-rare or until cooked to your liking. Drizzle the steak with the butter to serve.
