Steps:
- Brush the steaks with melted butter and grill or broil 7-8 minutes per side.
- Fry the onion in remaining butter.
- Remove onion from heat and stir in flour.
- Add the broth and return to the heat.
- When boiling, add sugar and simmer 2 minutes to cook the flour.
- Remove from the heat and add whiskey.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve over ham.

An Irish dish Gammon.A nice sweet and salty dish.Great for St. Patty's Day!Alternate cooking method: Fry ham in butter 3-4 minutes per side then remove ham add onions cooking till translucent, sprinkle with sugar and then with flour mix till blended in, add stock simmering for 5 minutes. Add whiskey season with salt, pepper and dried parsley. Top ham with sauce.

Steps:
- Brush steaks with melted butter.
- Trim and cut into fat to prevent curling, and grill for 7-8 minutes each side.
- --To make sauce, gently fry onions in remainder of butter until cooked.
- Remove from heat cover with foil then whisk flour gradually into pan.
- Add water or stock.
- Return to heat.
- Add brown sugar, Dijon, and vinegar and bring to the boil.
- Lower heat and simmer gently for about 3-5 minutes to cook flour.
- If sauce seems a little thick, add more water.
- Add whiskey and season to taste.
- Place ham steaks on a warmed serving platter and pour on sauce.

Nice way to do ham steaks or if you are cooking a whole ham use the whiskey sauce with raisins to pour over the sliced ham, either way MMMMMMMMmm

Steps:
- If there is any fat around the edges of the steaks cut into the edge or remove the fat.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter& brush both sides of the ham with it.
- Grill both sides of the ham steaks in a skillet for about 8 minutes each side (the time depends on the thickness of the steak).
- Meanwhile prepare the whiskey sauce in a saucepan.
- Add the onions to the saucepan with a 1 tbs butter and saute until translucent, use medium heat.
- Take the saucepan off the heat and whisk in the flour, graduallyy adding the water.
- Add brown sugar return to heat and bring the sauce to a boil.
- Reduce heat& simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add whiskey just before using it, season to taste with salt& pepper.
- Pour over the hot ham steaks and serve.
- You can add raisins to this suce if youwish.

- 1. Heat grill.
- 2. In a medium sauce pan melt butter.
- 3. Brush ham steaks with butter-reserve the rest.
- 4. Saute onions in remainder of butter until cooked.
- 5. Remove from heat and whisk in flour gradually.
- 6. Slowly whisk in stock, return to heat.
- 7. Add sugar and bring to the boil.
- 8. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
- 9. Add Whiskey and season with pepper.
- 10. If sauce is to thick, add a little bit more whiskey from your glass. Stop whining and just do it.
- 11. Take your glass and ham steaks to the grill.
- 12. Grill steaks for 3-4 minutes per side-you want nice golden grill marks, not grilled steak black grill marks.
- 13. Plate and serve with sauce.
