1 (4 ounce) container refrigerated prepared vanilla pudding
1/2 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup seedless grapes, halved
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange segments, drained
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix pudding and whipped topping.
  • Gently stir in grapes, marshmallows, oranges, and pineapple. Add strawberries; toss gently to coat.
  • Serve immediately or store in refrigerator up to 8 hours.

When my mother passed away, she left me a legacy of love-her treasured recipe collection, including this old-time favorite. She would serve this flavorful fruit salad in her best crystal bowl. -Audrey Groe, Lake Mills, Iowa

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges
1 package (3 ounces) cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup maraschino cherries
1 to 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple and oranges, reserving juices in a 2-cup measuring cup; set fruit aside. Add enough water to juices to measure 1-1/2 cups. In a saucepan, whisk the juices and pudding mix. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally., Fold in the strawberries, cherries and reserved pineapple and oranges. Cover and refrigerate. Just before serving, fold in bananas.

I get compliments on this fruit salad wherever I take it. It is super easy to make and a great dish to bring to a potluck or family party. Kids love it too. Everyone asks "what's in the sauce"? The secret ingredient is the vanilla pudding mix.

1 (29 ounce) can peach slices, undrained
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
1 (3 1/8 ounce) box dry vanilla instant pudding mix
1 lb strawberry, stemmed and quartered
1 banana, sliced
1/2 pint blueberries
1 bunch grapes (I use the red ones)
1 -2 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine peaches, pineapples, and vanilla pudding mix.
  • This includes the juices from the cans.
  • Mix well until pudding is dissolved.
  • Stir in strawberries, banana, blueberries, grapes, and sugar if desired.
  • Chill.

1 cup sour cream
1 (3 3/4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
1 cup milk, whole
17 ounces fruit cocktail, well drained
11 ounces mandarin oranges, well drained
16 ounces pineapple chunks, well drained
1/2 cup coconut, shredded (optional)

Steps:

  • In large bowl, carefully beat whipped topping, sugar and sour cream with mixer until stiff.
  • Add instant pudding, milk and continue beating until well blended.
  • Add fruit.

  • Sprinkle with coconut, if desired.
