For a great late night treat, I whip up this snack mix. The blend of the fruit and nuts is so delicious!-Donna Brockett, Kingfisher, Oklahoma

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup sunflower kernels
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup whole salted cashews
1 cup salted peanuts
1 cup raisins
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter or butterscotch chips
1 cup coarsely chopped dried apricots
3/4 cup coarsely chopped dried peaches or apples
1/2 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container.

Clever use of a pipe cleaner and plastic bag turn cheese and fruit into a fun, butterfly-shape snack. (Pssst-get the kids involved making these!)

1 oz. KRAFT Cheddar Cheese, cut into bite-size pieces
1/4 cup strawberries, quartered
1/4 cup seedless green grapes, halved

Steps:

  • Place cheese in 1 side of resealable sandwich-size plastic bag; loosely tie pie cleaner or twist tie around middle of bag. Place fruit in other end of bag; seal bag, then twist pipe cleaner tightly to separate cheese from fruit.
  • Curl ends of pipe cleaner to resemble antennae of a butterfly.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve. Untwist pipe cleaner, leaving bag sealed. Gently shake bag to mix fruit and cheese. Open bag and enjoy!

6 ounces smoked almonds (I used Blue Diamond smokehouse almonds)
8 ounces dried apricots, using kitchen shears cut in halves (or thirds)
8 ounces dried cranberries

  • Combine all ingredients. Store in airtight container or bags.

1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh blackberries
1/2 cup dried banana chips
2 large kiwifruit, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
12 ounces seedless watermelon (about 6 slices)
1/2 cup unblanched almonds
8 ounces Brie cheese
8 ounces mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • On a large platter or cutting board, arrange fruit, almonds and cheeses. Place honey in a small jar; tuck jar among fruit.
