1st place winner submitted by Cynthia Reynolds. I found this recipe in The Evening Times Holiday Cookbook newspaper. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting this for safe keeping.

12 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
5 -6 bananas, sliced
20 ounces crushed pineapple
20 ounces sliced peaches
10 ounces frozen sliced strawberries
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Prepare orange juice according to container directions in a large serving bowl; stir in bananas, crushed pineapple, peaches and strawberries, set aside.
  • Add sugar and water to a saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour over fruit; stir.
  • Freeze 24-48 hours in freezer-proof bowl; stir 2-3 times as it freezes.

1 cup sour cream
1 can apricot, coarsely cut
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks (drained)
1 cup miniature marshmallow
2 oranges, cut into bite size pieces
1/2 cup flaked coconut

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and gently stir to blend thoroughly.
  • Cover and chill in refrigerator for 24 hours or more before serving.
  • Spoon into chilled sherbet glasses.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (17-ounce) can apricot , chopped and juice reserved
1 (17-ounce) can crushed pineapple , juice reserved
1/2 cup sugar
3 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries , thawed
1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 pounds grapes , halved
4 bananas , diced

Steps:

  • Heat reserved juices and sugar in a heavy saucepan over medium heat stir until sugar dissolves. Add strawberries, orange juice concentrate and lemon juice. Heat until warmed remove from heat. Combine apricots, pineapple, grapes and bananas together in a small mixing bowl stir into heated mixture. Pour into a freezer-proof serving dish freeze overnight. Remove from freezer about 15 to 25 minutes before serving. TIP: Roll some fresh grapes, strawberries and mandarin oranges in extra-fine sugar for a glittery (and tasty!) garnish.
