FROSTED CRANBERRY SALAD



Frosted Cranberry Salad image

1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 package (3 ounces) cherry gelatin
1 cup chilled ginger ale
1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 envelope whipped topping mix (Dream Whip)
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 pecan halves, toasted
8 fresh cranberries

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving juice in a 1 cup measure; set pineapple aside. To the juice, add enough water to measure 1 cup. Transfer to a small saucepan; add the unflavored gelatin and let stand for 1 minute. Bring to a boil. Add cherry gelatin; stir until dissolved. Stir in ginger ale. Pour into a bowl. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until partially set., Whisk in the pineapple and cranberry sauce. Transfer to an 11x7-in. dish coated with cooking spray. Refrigerate until set., In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. In a small bowl, beat whipped topping mix, milk and vanilla on low speed until blended. Beat on high for 4 minutes or until thickened. Add to cream cheese; beat until blended. Spread over gelatin. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into squares; garnish each with a pecan half and cranberry.

3 cups boiling water
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple
3 cups cold water
4 medium firm bananas, sliced
2-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Stir the cold water, bananas, marshmallows and pineapple into gelatin. , Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. dish coated with cooking spray; refrigerate until firm., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer., Remove from the heat. Stir a small amount of hot filling into the egg; return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Cool., In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in, cooled filling. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over gelatin (dish will be full). Sprinkle with nuts and coconut.

2 cups boiling water
2 cups 7-Up soda
1 cup miniature marshmallow
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
2 large bananas, sliced
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup pineapple juice
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Dissolve jello in water and cool.
  • Add 7-up.
  • Add marshmallows, crushed pineapple, and bananas.
  • Pour into a 9 x 13 pan or glass dish.
  • Put in refrigerator to set.
  • To make frosting, mix sugar, flour, juice and egg in saucepan and heat until thickened.
  • Wait for mixture to cool.
  • Add cool whip to mixture.
  • Frost jello salad.

2 cups boiling water
3/4 cup miniature marshmallows
2 cans (15-1/4 ounces each) apricot halves
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 envelopes whipped topping mix (Dream Whip)
1/4 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add marshmallows; stir until melted. Drain apricots, reserving 1 cup juice; set juice aside. Chop apricots; add to gelatin with pineapple. 3 cups boiling water
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed

1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
TOPPING:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Fresh strawberries and mint

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in strawberries and pineapple. Refrigerate until partially set. , Stir in pecans and cherries. Transfer to a 13-in. x 9-in. dish. 1 package (.6 ounce) sugar-free raspberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 package (8 ounces) fat-free cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup fat-free sour cream
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Drain blueberries and pineapple, reserving juice; set fruit aside. In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add enough water to reserved fruit juices to measure 1-1/4 cups; stir into gelatin. Chill until partially set. Stir in reserved fruit. Pour into an 8-in. square dish. 1 can(s) (8.5) oz can of crushed pineapple
2 box (3 oz) raspberry flavored jello
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese at room temperature
2 Tbsp salad dressing
1 can(s) 16 ounce of whole cranberry sauce
1 c heavy cream, whipped, not cool whip
1/2 c coarslely chopped walnuts
1 medium golden delicious ( peeled and chopped fine) apple

Steps:

  • 1. Drain pineapple and cranberry sauce ,SAVE THE LIQUID, and add enough water to make 2 cups. Pour into small saucepan and bring to a boil
  • 2. Pour the jello into a medium bowl then pour the boiling liquid over the jello, stirring to combine. Chill until partially set.
  • 3. Beat together room temperature cream cheese and salad dressing in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in partically set jello into cream cheese mixture. Gently fold whipped cream into jello mixture. Fold in pineapple and whole cranberry sauce, breaking the cranberry sauce apart. Fold apples and walnuts into mixture.
  • 4. Pour mixture into a 13x9x2 glass container. CHILL SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE SERVING.

DISSOLVE GELATIN IN 2 CUP HOT WATER. DILUTE WITH 2 CUP COLD WATER.
1 (8 oz.) box orange gelatin (or your choice)
4 c water
2 medium bananas (sliced)
1 (8 oz.) can(s) pineapple, crushed and drained
SAVE DRAINED PINEAPPLE JUICE
1/2 c sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1 large egg (beaten)
1 c cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Assemble Ingredients.
  • 2. Use 9 x 9 inch pan
  • 3. Put gelatin in the Refrigerator until partially set.
  • 4. When Gelain begins to partially set, fold in Sliced bananas and crushed pineapple.
  • 5. Allow to completely set up in the Refrigerator.
  • 6. Using a small sauce pan, mix sugar and flour. Add enough water to drained pineapple juice to make l cup and stir into mixture in pan.
  • 7. Quickly stir in l beaten egg. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  • 8. Fold in Cool Whip
  • 9. Spread frosting on top of gelatin. Let this set up overnight.
  • 10. This can be made several days in advance.

1 box 6 oz orange jello
1 small can mandarin oranges
1 can(s) 1- 9oz can crushed pineapple
1 pkg 1 small lemon-instant pudding
1 can(s) 1 sm can frozen orange juice
1 small container cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve box of orange jello into 2C boiling water. Add small can of frozen orange juice. Chill until slightly congealed.
  • 2. Add can of mandarin oranges (undrained) and crushed pineaople (undrained) Mix and let set until firm in a 9x13 dish
  • 3. Mix lemon pudding as directed on package and add 1/2 to 3/4 of the container of Cool Whip, Blend and frost the jello once it is totally firm. Chill until ready o serve.

2- 3 oz package lemon gelatin
7 oz of ginger ale
1 lb. can of jellied cranberry sauce
1 container of cool whip
8 oz package cream cheese
½ cup pecan - optional

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserve syrup. Add water to make 1 cup, heat to boil. Dissolve gelatin in hot liquid, then cool. Gently stir in ginger ale. Chill till partially set. Blend in pineapple and cranberry sauce. Put mixture into dish and chill firm. Blend cool whip with softened cream cheese together and frost cranbery gelatin or place it to the side. Add pecans if you would like.

2-3 oz pkg. Jell-O Lemon Flavored Gelatin
7 oz lemon-lime flavored soda or ginger ale
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 pkg (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving 1 cup of the juice. Add one cup of water to the juice in a bowl. Heat the water and pineapple juice mixture in a saucepan until it comes to a boil. Dissolve the Jell-O in the boiling mixture. Cool mixture. Gently stir in the lemon-lime soda or ginger ale. Chill until partially set.
  • Meanwhile, blend drained pineapple and cranberry sauce, fold into Jell-O mixture. Turn into a 9x9x2-inch dish. Chill until firm.
  • Beat cream cheese and Cool Whip until smooth. Spread over gelatin. Toast pecans in a 350 degrees F oven with the butter for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle pecans over the salad. Chill.

1 cup Kraft Jet-Puffed Miniature Marshmallows
Frosting:
2 Tablespoons flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup pineapple juice (from above)
1 cup whipped cream
1/2 cup Kraft Grated American Cheese

Steps:

  • Dissolve Jell-O in 2 cups of hot water. Add soda pop, and cool. When partly set, add pineapple, bananas, and Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows to Jell-O. Pour into 9 x 13 inch glass Pan.
  • Frosting: Mix flour and sugar well. Add pineapple juice and cook until thick. Cool.
  • Add whipped cream to frosting and spread on Jell-O salad.
  • Sprinkle on grated cheese for color, or you may use chopped nuts if desired. Must set in fridge for 24 hours.
