Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place rice in the bottom of a large greased casserole dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine both cans of soup with water.
- Pour some of the soup mixture over the rice and let stand a few minutes.
- Place chicken pieces on top of rice.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour remaining soup on top.
- Top with remaining dry onion soup mix.
- Cover, put in the oven and forget about it for about 1 1/2- 2 hours.

BEST EVER FORGOTTEN CHICKEN
When I was 10 I asked my sitter for this recipe because her house smelled SO good while it was in the oven. I still make it for the same reason today. This is different from the other Forgotten Chicken recipes already submitted. I sometimes use boneless skinless chicken and I LOVE the 2 different cooking options!

Steps:
- Place rice in roasting pan.
- Put chicken on top.
- Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
- Spoon cream of chicken soup over chicken and rice.
- Pour the water over ingredients in roaster.
- Sprinkle herbs from rice over the ingredients in roaster.
- Cover.
- Do not open or stir till cooking time is over.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 2- 2 1/2 hours OR Bake at 200 degrees for 4 hours.

- 1.Using the 1 tbsp. butter, butter a 9 x 13 baking pan. 2.In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, 1 can of water, and Minute rice. 3.Pour mixture into buttered pan. 4.Place chicken breasts on top of mixture. 5.Sprinkle Lipton onion soup evenly on top of chicken breasts. 6.Cover pan with foil and place in a preheated oven, 350. 7.Cook for about 1- 1 1/2 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through. 8.Enjoy!!

- Mix together: soups, 1 can of water and rice. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Lay chicken on top of rice mixture and sprinkle with onion soup on top. Cover with tin foil. Bake at 275 degrees for 3 hours. The rice on the outside edges should be slightly browned and crispy and the rice on the inside soft and moist.

- Mix together "cream of" soups, 1 can of water, and 2 cups of minute rice (uncooked.) Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Lay chicken breasts on top of rice mixture and sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Cover with tin foil. Don't forget that important step! Here is where the name Forgotten Chicken comes in. Once you have it in the casserole dish you can put it in the oven and forget it! My mom would always put it in on a low temp. (around 250-275) before we left for church and when we got home three hours later it would be ready. Or you can cook it at 350-375 (depending on your oven) for one to one and a half hours. It is hard to mess up so if you forget it is in there don't worry, it is probably still okay! The rice on the outside edges should be slightly browned and crispy and the rice on the inside soft and moist. Serve with a side salad and a nice big slice of bread and you have yourself one tasty meal. Someone said they put this recipe in their slow cooker for 4.5 hrs on HIGH.
