To make this quick meal even quicker, use instant mashed potatoes. You can make it "pretty" by squeezing potato mixture through pasty bag with a large star tip.

Steps:
- Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender, about 20 minutes; drain.
- Meanwhile, in large frying pan, cook ground beef and onion until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender; drain off fat.
- Stir in green beans, tomato soup, water, salt and pepper.
- Turn mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- Mash potatoes while hot; blend in egg.
- Add enough milk to make potatoes fluffy.
- Season potatoes to taste with salt and pepper.
- Spread or drop potato mixture on top of meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.

- Mix ground beef, 1 1/4 c. potato flakes, egg, salt, pepper, onion flakes, catsup and milk. Spread in 9" pie plate. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. Prepare remaining potato flakes as directed on the package. Pile on top of meat loaf for meringue. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 3 to 4 minutes until cheese melts.
FLUFFY HAMBURGER PIE

- Mix the hamburger, instant potato flakes, egg, salt, pepper, onions, ketchup, and milk. Press into the bottom of a pie dish. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
- Prepare the instant potatoes according to package directions. Spread on top of meat mixture. Top with cheese and bake another 5 minutes.

- Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool in a large bowl.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Stir green beans and tomato soup into the ground beef mixture; transfer to prepared casserole dish.
- Mash the cooled potatoes with milk, egg, garlic, pepper, and salt; spoon in mounds over the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and edges of dish begin to brown, 25 to 30 minutes.

- Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
- In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt. Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.
