I've had this recipe for ages, and can't remember where I originally got it. It's a good hot stir fry! Serve with steamed rice.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons oil
3/4 lb chicken breast, cut into chunks
1/2 onion, cut into chunks
1/2 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
1/2 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
6 dried red chili peppers
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon hot Chinese chili paste
1/2 cup peanuts

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet or wok until very hot.
  • Add oil.
  • When oil is hot add chicken and stir fry until done, just a few minutes.
  • Remove chicken.
  • Add remaining ingredients except for peanuts and stir fry until tender crisp.
  • Add chicken back into pan.
  • Toss thru to reheat.
  • Stir in peanuts.

1 Tbsp oil
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
3 clove garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 c snow peas
1 can(s) (8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/3 c kraft lite asian toasted sesame dressing
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
2 c hot cooked long-grain white rice

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken and garlic; stir-fry 4 minutes or until chicken is evenly browned.
  • 2. Add pepper strips and snow peas; stir-fry 2-3 minutes or until peppers are crisp-tender and chicken is done. Add water chestnuts, dressing and crushed pepper; stir-fry 2 minutes or until heated through.
  • 3. Serve over rice.

1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 teaspoons cornstarch
3 teaspoons grated orange peel
3/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes -- or to taste
1 1/2 tablespoons grape seed or olive oil
6 garlic cloves -- minced
3 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
1 red bell pepper -- seeded and chopped
1 1/2 cups snow peas -- cut into 1-inch pieces
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts -- cut into 1-inch
pieces
4 green onions -- cut into 1-inch pieces
6 cups cooked brown rice

Steps:

  • In small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, orange peel and red pepper flakes until thoroughly mixed and cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside. Heat oil in wok or large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic and ginger; stir-fry until fragrant, about 1 minute, but don't let the garlic or ginger brown. Add bell pepper and snow peas; stir-fry 1 minute until crisp-tender. Add chicken and green onions; stir-fry until chicken is cooked, about 4 minutes or so, depending on how thick your chicken is. Stir in reserved soy sauce mixture; cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Serve over cooked brown rice. Per Serving: 480 Calories

3 teaspoons cornstarch
0.25 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1.5 tablespoons olive oil
6 cloves garlic
3 teaspoons ginger root
1 units red bell pepper
1.5 cups snow peas
3 units chicken breasts
4 units green onions
9 cups brown rice

Steps:

  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes until cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside.
  • Heat olive oil over medium high heat. Stir in garlic and ginger and stir fry until fragrant about 1 minute. Add bell pepper and snow peas and stir fry an extra minute until colors brighten. Add chicken and onions, stir fry until chicken is cooked through about 4 minutes or so. Stir in reserved sauce mixture. Cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens.
  • Serve over cooked brown rice with a big green salad.
