2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
¾ cup rolled oats
¼ cup whole-wheat flour
¼ cup muscovado sugar
¼ cup applesauce
2 tbsp agave nectar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add all your ingredients for the apple mixture. Mix to combine, then transfer into a baking casserole of your choice. No need to grease.
  • Using the same mixing bowl, add all your ingredients for the crumb topping. Fold until evenly incorporated, then pour on top of your apples.
  • Spread out your topping evenly to cover the entire casserole.
  • Bake for roughly 45 minutes or until topping turns golden brown and apples are cooked.
  • Once you're done baking, allow to cool briefly at room temperature. Serve and enjoy! Best enjoyed when warm.

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
Vanilla ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Place apples in a large bowl. Combine sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle over apples and toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. 1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons lemon juice

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
