Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups matzo farfel
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. chicken fat
2 apples or bananas
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Cover the farfel with cold water. Drain immediately so the farfel is moist, not soggy. Add eggs, salt, sugar, and chicken fat. Slice apples or bananas and add nuts. Place in a greased baking dish and bake at 375 degrees for about 1/2 hr. or until brown.

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 cups farfel
4 eggs
4-5 grated apples (peel first)
1/3 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup white raisins
2 t cinnamon

Steps:

  • Pour cold water over farfel (in colander) and drain immediately. Mix with lightly beaten eggs, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apples and oil. Put into oiled 8" pan. Bake 375 - 35 to 40 min. Should be browned on top. Can be doubled and put into 2 qt casserole dish.
