Steps:
- Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 4-6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and immediately place beans in ice water. Drain and pat dry., In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey and butter. Saute pepper and onion in drippings until tender. Add the beans, teriyaki mixture, bacon, cashews and lemon juice; heat through.

- In a small bowl, stir together the teriyaki sauce, honey, and butter.
- Fill a bowl with cold water and ice cubes.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the lemon juice. Drop in the beans and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until beans are bright green. Drain the beans in a colander and then plunge them into the iced water. Drain again and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until very crispy, crumble and set aside. Saute the bell pepper and onion in the hot bacon fat for 2 minutes. Add the beans, cashews, and bacon to the skillet. Add the teriyaki-honey sauce and toss gently.

- Teriyaki-Honey Sauce:.
- In a small bowl, stir together the teriyaki suace, honey and melted butter.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Drop in the beans and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the beans are bright green.
- Drain the beans in a colander, then plunge them into ice water.
- Drain again and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until very crisp.
- Crumble and set aside.
- Saute the peppers, onion and garlic in the hot bacon fat for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the beans, cashews and bacon to the skillet and heat through.
- Add the teriyaki-honey sauce and toss gently.
- Add the lemon juice and toss again.
- Enjoy.

- 1. Place drained beans in a microwave safe medium bowl;heat to warm.Cover and keep warm, set aside.
- 2. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan,omitting cheese and nuts. Heat to simmer,until hot.

A nice flavorful touch to dress up your green beans! NOTE: If you happen to have one, a Green Bean Frencher may be used, but it's not necessary...I don't have one, myself!

- Cut green beans in half. If you have a Frencher, use that to prepare the beans as opposed to slicing them.
- Cook beans in a pot of salted boiling water until tender, approximately 5 minutes.
- Transfer beans to a large bowl and toss with salt, pepper, sherry vinegar and olive oil. Serve warm and enjoy!

- Clean the green beans and boil in medium pot till tender for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, grate the sharp cheddar cheese. Next, in microwave heat in a small bowl 2 tablespoons of butter with the 1/2 cup of onion for about 1 minute. Drain green beans and imput back into same pot. Mix in sharp cheddar cheese along with the onion and butter mixture. Then pour in the 1 cupt of sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Happy eating!

FANCY GREEN BEANS
This is my own creation and I first made this in 1960, when I lived in Grand Rapids,Mi. Everyone loved it and asked for it often. The lemon juice gives this dish just the right amount of tart with the sweet. I have made it with apricots too! These are my own photos.

- 1. Fry bacon crisp, cool then chop up;set aside. Drain green beans in strainer and rinse;set aside. Drain juice from pears into measuring cup adding the water to make 1 cup liquid,pour into saucepan.
- 2. Add the sugar,nutmeg, lemon juice and all but 1 teaspoon of the zest. Stir in and blend in the cornstarch. Bring to a boil ,stirring continuously until mixture becomes clear. Stir in all but 1 Tablespoon of the bacon pieces.
- 3. Cut up pears. and zest from lemon.
- 4. Add drained beans and fold in the pears. Just heat until warmed. Pour into serving bowl and garnish top with reserved bacon and orange zest. Drizzle 1 Tablespoon of bacon grease over top if desired. Enjoy! Enjoy.
