- Lay orange slices on top, and place one slice of ginger on each side of the ham.
- Wrap up the ham; place in crock-pot.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for one (1) hour, then reduce the heat to LOW and contiune to cook for 6 to 7 hours, or until the meat thermometer registers 160 degree F.
- Remove the ham from the crock-pot; let sit for a few minutes before removing from the foil.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the apples, raisins, remaining maple syrup, vanilla and apple pie seasoning. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, or until apples are tender -stirring occasionally.
- Place ham on a warmed serving platter. Drizzle the juices from within the foil over the ham.

SUNDAY BOILED DINNER
Meet the Cook: Generally, I start this dinner early in the morning or right before church. It originated with my Pennsylvania Dutch mother and grandmother., When I first served it to my husband, he enjoyed the hearty root vegetables so much that he asked me to make the dish more frequently, even during the summertime. We've been married 38 years and have two sons and two granddaughters. -Arlene Oliver, Bothell, Washington

FALL OFF THE BONE CROCK POT HAM RECIPE - (4.1/5)
Provided by critty
Number Of Ingredients 2
Steps:
- Use about 1 and ½ cups of the brown sugar, or enough to cover the bottom of the crock pot in a ¼ inch layer. Cut open your ham packaging and remove the plastic circle that is most likely covering the bone on the bottom side of the ham. Place your ham face down on top of the brown sugar. Coat the top of the ham in a thick layer of brown sugar. Replace lid. If your ham is too tall to fit the lid on top, cover with a few pieces of foil. Try to get as tight a seal as possible. Cook over high heat for 6-7 hours or low heat for 8-10 hours. I like to flip the ham at least once during the last hour or two of cooking to ensure the entire ham gets to soak in all the yummy juices. You know the ham is done when you can poke in a fork and easily shred the ham. Remove from crock pot and serve in chunks.
