- Scoop ice cream into a tall glass.
- Pour eggnog over the top.
- Grate nutmeg into the glass.
- Stir with a spoon until it's all mixed up. It'll be pretty thick, but I like my milkshakes spoonable.
- If you prefer something you can drink out of a straw, add more eggnog, 1/4 of a cup at a time.
PINK PEPPERMINT EGGNOG MILKSHAKE
Garnished with a huge chunk of pink peppermint candy bark and crushed peppermints around the rim of the glass, this festive milkshake is perfect for the holidays.

- Start by garnishing the rims of 3 glasses with vanilla frosting and crushed peppermint candies.
- Chill the glasses in the freezer while you make the milkshakes.
- Combine the eggnog and pink peppermint ice cream in a blender and blend on high. For a stronger peppermint flavor, add 1 teaspoon peppermint extract. Divide the mixture between the prepared glasses and garnish with peppermint candy bark, whipped cream and more crushed peppermint candies.

- 1. Add all the milk shake ingredients except the ice cream into a blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice cream and blend until smooth and thick. Pour into glasses, garnish with whipped cream, ground nutmeg.

We like to make these during the winter when eggnog is more readily available at the grocery stores. We'll often add a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon to the blender, and we usually used French vanilla ice cream for a richer taste, but regular vanilla ice cream is great, too.
