EDIBLE MODELING CLAY
This is a recipe that I found online searching for a recipe that uses everyday ingredients to make a clay for making figures to decorate a cake. I have not tested it yet, but will soon - I will post my results then. If you try it first, please let me know how it worked for you. I noticed in the directions about it being sticky so...

Steps:
- 1. Mix all ingredients except any coloring.
- 2. Determine how many different colors you want and divide the clay into small bowls; one for each color and one for white.
- 3. Mix the individual colors in each bowl to the color intensity that you want.
- 4. Dough gets stickier as you work with it, but hardens a bit when refrigerated. (See my notes above)
- 5. Use the clay to make decorations for your baked items.
- 6. (NOTE: The article I read when I found this recipe stated that the Author had made comic figures, and a playground with landscape. Please let me know how this worked if you try this before I do)

EDIBLE MODELING CLAY
I needed something besides fondant to create some things for my baked goods. This recipe works well for molding the stuff I need and it tastes pretty good too.

Steps:
- melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl 1 minute. Stir. If not fully melted return to microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each addition. Do not get the chocolate too hot. Can use a double boiler to melt the chocolate. Just have the water only to a simmer.
- When the chocolate is fully melted. add the Karo syrup and stir to blend. The chocolate will come together and appear dry and crumbly.
- Pour the mixture on a piece of wax paper and flatten into a disk. Cover with another piece of wax paper. Then leave it alone for at least 8 hours.
- After setting for 8 hours remove the wax paper and knead the clay candy. It may get too soft to handle if you touch it too much, if so set in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Add powdered sugar or cornstarch if it gets too soft and sticky. Add only a little at a time. Have fun
