2 tablespoons minced onion

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over high heat. Sear the pork chops until browned, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer the pork chops to a slow cooker. Mix the brown sugar, ketchup, onion, and lemon juice in a bowl; spoon over the pork chops.
  • Cook on Low until the pork chops are very tender, 4 to 6 hours.

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks in natural juices, liquid drained and reserved
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound boneless pork loin, cut into thin strips
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 medium carrots, sliced thin
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
1 green or sweet red pepper, sliced thin
2 cups snow peas, trimmed

Steps:

  • Combine 3 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice with water, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar and pepper flakes. Set aside. , In a skillet or wok, heat oil on high. Stir-fry pork until it is no longer pink. Add garlic and ginger; cook 1 minute. Add carrots and onion; continue to stir-fry until tender, about 3 minutes. Add pepper, snow peas, pineapple and soy sauce mixture that has been stirred. Cook until sauce thickens. Serve immediately.

Being a busy single mom, I look for recipes that are quick, simple and don't have 100 ingredients. This one fits the bill to a T. I've served it to my picky parents and sisters who loved it and my 6 year old always asks for seconds (and even thirds at times)! Original recpie called for equal parts of wet ingredients, but I found it too salty and reduce the soy sauce slightly.

4 -6 thawed pork chops
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup chili sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce, minus 1 tablespoon

1 ½ pounds pork belly, skin removed
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (6 ounce) can pineapple juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
¼ cup ketchup
⅓ cup seasoned rice vinegar
1 teaspoon soy sauce, or to taste
2 teaspoons sambal chili paste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • Use a sharp knife to make 1/8-inch deep cuts, spaced 1/2 inch apart, into the fatty side of the pork belly. Turn and repeat the cuts, crossing the first set at a 45-degree angle. Transfer into a shallow baking dish that's just large enough to fit the meat.
  • Mix salt, brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper for dry rub in a small bowl. Apply it generously to both sides of the meat, sprinkling it on and then pressing it in. Press the sides of the pork belly into the dish to pick up any additional dry rub. End with the fatty side of the pork facing up. Cover the baking dish with foil and place it onto a sheet pan.
  • Bake in the center of the preheated oven until tender when tested with the tip of a knife, about 3 1/2 hours.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly, 8 hours to overnight.
  • Remove from the refrigerator and transfer meat to a cutting board. Cut pork belly into ½-inch slices.
  • Prepare glaze: Spoon 2 teaspoons rendered pork fat from the top of the drippings and heat it in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ginger and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and chili paste and bring to a simmer. Cook until sauce reduces by about half, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • Cook pork belly slices in a dry, nonstick pan over medium-high heat until surface is browned a bit, about 2 minutes per side. Add a couple tablespoons of the pork belly "jelly" from the baking dish and the sweet and sour sauce. Cook until sauce reduces down to a glaze, 2 to 3 more minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and serve.

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups frozen bell pepper and onion stir-fry (from 1-lb bag)
1 can (8 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
1 jar (11 1/2 oz) sweet-and-sour sauce

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, toss pork with egg. In 1-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag, place Bisquick mix, salt and pepper; seal bag and shake to mix. Drain excess egg from pork. Place pork cubes in plastic bag; seal bag and shake to coat.
  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Place pork in single layer in skillet. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown and crispy on outside and no longer pink in center. Drain on paper towels. Cover to keep warm.

6 thick pork chops
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c chili sauce
1/4 c honey
1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Mix soy, chili sauce, and honey. Place pork chops in a greased casserole. Pour sauce over all. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Remove cover and continue baking for 15 minutes more. Serve over rice or fried rice.
  • 3. OPTIONAL: When you uncover dish you may add 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper and 1/2 cup drained canned pineapple chunks. Continue baking as above.
