2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons pepper
1 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS:
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 to 3-1/2 pounds), cut up
canola oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year. Yield: 3 batches (2-1/2 cups total)., To prepare chicken: Place about 3/4 cup of coating in a large resealable plastic bag. In a shallow bowl, beat eggs and milk. Dip chicken pieces into egg mixture, then place in the bag; seal and shake until coated. , In a large skillet, heat 1/2 in. of oil over medium-high heat. Brown chicken on all sides; remove to a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until juices run clear.

I love fried chicken, but it takes so long and is such a big mess. I came up with this one, and have been making it ever since! Everyone I have given the recipe to has loved it as well.

Number Of Ingredients 7

12 chicken thighs
3 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
½ cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place flour in a shallow plate or bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Put the bread crumbs in another shallow plate or bowl and beat the eggs in another bowl.
  • Dredge the chicken piece by piece in the flour, then the egg, then the bread crumbs, until all pieces are coated. Pour the oil into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Add the chicken to the dish and sprinkle with paprika to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, then turn pieces over and bake for another 30 minutes. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels. Enjoy!

1/2 cup milk
1 broiler/fryer chicken (2-1/2 to 3-1/2 pounds), cut up
Oil for frying

Steps:

  • Combine the first nine ingredients; store in an airtight container. Yield: 2-1/2 cups coating mix (enough for 3 batches of chicken)., To prepare chicken: In a shallow bowl, beat eggs and milk. Place 3/4 cup coating mix in a large resealable plastic bag. Dip chicken into egg mixture, then add to the bag, a few pieces at a time; shake to coat. , Heat 1/4 in. of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.   • Heat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in 15x10x1-inch pan in oven.
