I discovered a fast recipe for a delectable chocolate mousse some years ago and thought it might make a good filling for a pie. The chocolate lovers in our family endorse this scrumptious dessert, saying that it "melts in your mouth"! -Keri Scofield Lawson, Fullerton, California

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped, divided
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 chocolate crumb crust (9 inches)
Whipped cream and chocolate-covered peppermint candies, optional

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe dish, combine the chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of cream; cook on high for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Cool to room temperature. , Stir in sugar and vanilla; set aside. In a small bowl, beat remaining cream until soft peaks form. Beat in chocolate mixture on high, one third at a time; mix well. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Garnish with whipped cream and candies if desired.

This pie is so easy, and yet so deliciously sinful, no one would ever know it only took you 15 minutes to WHIP it up!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 - prebaked pie crust (store bought or homemade)
1 package(s) instant chocolate pudding
2 cup(s) heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup(s) milk
1 cup(s) mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- cool whip to top with

Steps:

  • In your mixer, whip your heavy whipping cream until soft peaks. Add pudding and whip, scraping down the bowl sides to incorporate altogether. (It will get really stiff!!) While whipping on medium speed, pour in milk, little at a time, until you get consistency you like. It will lighten up and get fluffy. Fold in chocolate chips and scoop into prepared (cooled) pie crust. Decorate top with cool whip, berries, chocolate chips, etc. Refrigerate for one hour. EAT!! =)
