2-1/2 cups milk chocolate M&M's
1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
1 can (3 ounces) chow mein noodles
1-1/2 cups raisins
1-1/4 cups peanuts

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Store in an airtight container.

1 1/2 cups puffed rice
1 1/2 cups puffed wheat
1 1/2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
1 cup puffed millet
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup shredded coconut
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Toss the puffed rice, puffed wheat, Chex, puffed millet, oats and coconut on a large rimmed baking sheet. Bake 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the honey, cinnamon and salt.
  • Pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture and gently stir with a rubber spatula. Return to the oven; bake until golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Let cool completely; store in an airtight container.

This is from the American Diabetes Association. I needed to make my DFIL snacks for his trip down to FL and this was lovely!! My DFIL has a BIG sweet tooth (despite being diabetic) and he latched onto this like he would never eat again!!

1 1/2 cups Corn Chex (corn squares)
1 1/2 cups Rice Chex (rice squares)
1 cup fat-free pretzel
1/4 cup almonds, sliced
1/4 cup raisins
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar-free syrup
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In large bowl, combine cereal, pretzels, almonds, raisins and cinnamon; mix well.
  • In small bowl, combine syrup, oil and vanilla; slowly pour over cereal mixture. Stir will to coat evenly.
  • Spread on 15x10-inch baking ban coated with vegetable cooking spray.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently. Cool. Store in airtight container.
