Ribs slow-cooked with carrots, celery, onions and red potatoes are pure comfort food for us. To add a little zip, we sometimes sprinkle in cayenne. -Rose Ingall, Manistee, Michigan

SLOW-COOKED COUNTRY RIBS IN GRAVY
This is a very easy recipe (just the kind I like!) that I got from my sister-in-law. I like to make it in winter as a way to capture the barbecues of summer.

CROCK POT COUNTRY RIBS
This is a wonderful tasty dish for those rainy days ahead. It has a mellow flavor and the meat is succulent but for some it may need a bit of hot sauce (I added 2 tbsp to the sauce).
