CROCK POT - BEEF TERIYAKI WITH BROCCOLI
Nice oriental entree made easy for you! The flavored meat and vegetable sauce produced by crock pot cooking is best served over hot cooked rice. Just right for the busy person who wants to work or shop while it cooks!

Steps:
- Lightly brown sirloin steak strips in vegetable oil and place in crock pot. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon salt onto strips.
- Place green pepper, onion, celery, and carrots on top of steak strips.
- In small bowl mix water with ginger, garlic powder, sesame oil, mustard, brown sugar and soy sauce. Pour over vegetables and cover with crock pot lid.
- Turn crock pot to high for lst hour and to low for remaining 3 hours. (If using optional broccoli florets, add during last 30 to 45 minutes.) Make a smooth paste with cornstarch and water. Mix and let cook 10 minutes.
- Serve over hot cooked rice.

Steps:
- Add the pineapple with juice, water, soy sauce, sugar, & spices to a crock-pot.
- Stir to melt the sugar then add in the beef cubes. Cover with a lid then cook on high for 4 hours.
- Mix the cornstarch with 2 tbsp of cool water then stir into the sauce. Recover & cook for another 20-30 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Serve over rice.

Serve this sliced thin on French bread rolls and serve with a bowl of sauce for dipping or on a plate with the sauce as a meat gravy. If necessary, cut the meat in half to fit your crock pot or slow cooker

Steps:
- Remove fat from beef.
- Place in a 4 qt crock pot.
- Top with onion.
- Mix teriyaki and orange peel; pour over meat and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until beef is tender.
- Remove beef from crock pot to a cutting board; cover to keep warm.
- Mix water and cornstarch.
- Slowly pour cornstarch mixture into juices left in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on high setting for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce has thickened.
- Cut beef across the grain into thin slices.
- Serve sauce with beef.
