ITALIAN CREAMY NOODLES

I found this recipe in a cooking magazine. It quickly became a family favorite. Even with my picky son. It works well with beef, chicken and pork. Enjoy!

8 ounces wide egg noodles
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup half-and-half (I use non-fat)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 1/4 teaspoons Italian salad dressing mix

Steps:

  • Cook noodles to desired tenderness; drain in colander.
  • Place butter or margarine in sauce pan used to cook noodles; add noodles and toss to coat.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Serve immediately.

4 cups uncooked egg noodles
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, half-and-half cream or evaporated milk

  • Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and place in a large bowl. Drizzle with butter. Add the remaining ingredients; toss to coat.

3 medium boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup(s) diced onion
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
- salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 teaspoon(s) italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried parsley or 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup(s) water
1/3 cup(s) heavy cream or milk
1/4 cup(s) white wine
2 teaspoon(s) chicken bouillon granules
1 package(s) pasta ribbons or egg noodles
3 tablespoon(s) butter

Steps:

  • Cut chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat; heat butter and olive oil. Add onions, garlic and chicken. Cook and stir until onions are transparent and chicken is almost done.
  • Add to chicken the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and parsley. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, water, cream or milk, wine and bouillon granules. Bring to boil; reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • While mixture simmers; cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain the noodles and stir in the butter. ( I added some fresh chopped green onions and shredded parmesan to my noodles)
  • Serve chicken mixture on top of noodles. Enjoy!

1 c half and half
1 .7-oz pkg italian salad dressing mix
salt and pepper
1/2 c butter, softened

Steps:

  • 1. Cook the noodles 1/2 the time directed on the package. Drain. In large bowl mix noodles and butter to coat.
  • 2. Add half and half, cheese and dressing mix. Stir well.
  • 3. Cool and freeze in plastic bags.
