This Cranberry Sangria Recipe is full of fresh fall flavors and is a festive drink to serve to your guests without a ton of effort.

1-750 ml Zinfandel (or other fruity red wine)
2 cups fresh cranberries
2 medium oranges (sliced and quartered)
1/2 cup simple syrup
1/2 cup orange juice (pulp free)
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup Triple Sec
1 liter Club soda

Steps:

  • Pour the wine into a 2-quart pitcher.
  • Add the simple syrup, orange juice, cranberry juice, and Triple Sec.
  • Add cranberries and oranges. Top off the pitcher with club soda. You may not use the whole bottle.
  • Stir to mix the juices and let the flavors infuse for at least half an hour before serving.

1 cup white sugar
4 cranberry-flavored tea bags
4 slices fresh lemon
6 whole cloves
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1 ½ cups water
2 (750 milliliter) bottles white wine
4 apples, cored and cut into chunks
1 ½ cups dried cranberries
2 fluid ounces apple brandy

Steps:

  • Place the sugar, tea bags, lemon slices, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and water into a saucepan, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let mixture cool. Strain out and discard the spices, lemon, and tea bags.
  • Pour the white wine into a large jar or covered container, and mix with the tea mixture. Stir in apples and cranberries; mix in the apple brandy. Chill in refrigerator 24 to 48 hours. Serve cold.

12 whole allspice berries
10 whole cloves
4 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
2 cinnamon sticks
2 black tea bags
1 cup maple syrup
One 10-ounce bag frozen cranberries, thawed
One 750-milliliter bottle Bordeaux or other rich red wine
1 cup orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
2 clementines or small oranges, thinly sliced
One 3-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and cut lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick slices

Steps:

  • Bring the allspice, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove the saucepan from the heat, add the tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags, then return the mixture to a boil. Stir in the maple syrup and cranberries, and cook for 2 minutes. Let cool, then transfer the mixture to a 3-quart pitcher.
  • Add the wine and liqueur to the pitcher, and stir to combine. Add the clementines and ginger, and cover the pitcher with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
  • To serve, fill 8 glasses halfway with ice, then pour the sangria and fruit into each glass.

1 cup water
2/3 cup sugar
3 cloves
2 medium lemon slices
2 medium lime slices
4 cranberry herbal tea bags
3 1/4 cups dry red wine
2 cups cranberry juice
6 tablespoons brandy
2 tablespoons triple sec
1 1/4 cups fresh strawberries, trimmed
1 cup orange, chunks
1 cup club soda

Steps:

  • Combine the water, sugar, cloves, and lemon and lime slices together in a saucepan and set over medium heat. Mix well, and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for a further 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the tea bags. After allowing the tea bags to infuse for five minutes, remove and discard the tea bags and the cloves, and transfer the mixture to a large serving pitcher. Add the wine, cranberry juice, brandy and Triple sec. Mix well and drop in the orange chunks and strawberries. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  • Immediately before serving, mix in the club soda for extra fizz. Serve chilled, over ice.
