1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup unseasoned rice vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon salt
pinch of red chili flakes
Salad:
10 cups thinly sliced Napa cabbage (about 1 large head)
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup coarsely chopped cilantro
1 package Wonderful Almond Accents Honey Roasted with Cranberries

Steps:

  • 1) In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar, honey, sour cream, salt and red chili flakes.
  • 2) Add cabbage, green onions and cilantro; toss well. Let stand 30 minutes before serving for flavors to blend. If making more than 30 minutes ahead, refrigerate dressing and salad separately.
  • 3) Mix in Wonderful® Almond Accents just before serving.

2 heads broccoli
1/2 cup thinly sliced almonds, toasted
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup buttermilk, well shaken
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons finely chopped shallots
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Trim broccoli and cut it into small pieces.
  • Toss the sliced broccoli with the almonds, cranberries and red onion in a large bowl.
  • Meanwhile, whisk the dressing ingredients - buttermilk, mayo, vinegar, sugar and shallots ( or use finely chopped red onion in the dressing ).
  • Add good pinch of salt and pepper to dressing and mix well.
  • Pour dressing over the broccoli.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

You can use your own favorite coleslaw dressing for this, or purchase Kraft brand, also adjust all ingredients to suit taste. This is an easy salad to put together! Dark raisins can be used for the cranberries if desired but for the holidays the cranberries is much nicer to use!

1 (16 ounce) bottle coleslaw dressing
1 small sweet onion, chopped (optional)
1 (8 ounce) package dried sweetened cranberries (or use Ocean Spray dried Craisins)
2 cups pistachio nuts (or to taste)
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl toss together the broccoli mixture with dressing (use more or less dressing to taste)
  • Add in dried cranberries, pistachio nuts; mix then season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and chill until ready to serve.
  • Delicious!
