I always order this as a side at the restaurant so I decided to make it for thanksgiving dinner and my family loves it!

1 (2 lb) package frozen hash browns
8 ounces sour cream
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter, is fine too
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese (be generous with it if you like it cheesy!)

Steps:

  • Spray 9×13 inch pan with cooking oil.
  • Melt butter in the microwave. In a bowl, add hash-browns, cheese, minced onions, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and melted butter and mix together.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until completely warm and cheese begins to melt.

2 lbs frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 10 oz can Cream Of Chicken Soup (or one recipe homemade cream soup)
1/2 up chopped onion
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine soup, onion, melted butter, and seasonings, stir well. Add in cheese and frozen hash browns.
  • Spread into a lightly greased 9x13 dish and bake at 350 for thirty minutes, or until bubbly.

1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 c onion -- chop fine
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
2 c grated colby cheese

  • 2. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 3. Combine soup, margarine, salt, pepper, onions and cheese.
  • 4. Gently mix in the potatoes and pour into prepared pan or dish.

1/2 cup butter
2 lbs hash browns (defrosted it frozen)
1 small onion, chopped
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups cheddar cheese (You can also you 1 cup of cheese and use one cup of Velveeta)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 - oil or butter a 9×13 pan and chop onions.
  • Melt butter in hot skillet then add onions. Once the onions are browning add the defrosted hash browns and add oil.
  • Cook until the hash is browning and tender.
  • Next take a large bowl and mix cheese and soup together.
  • Place the hash browns in the large bowl with the cheese and mix.
  • Place mixture into 9×13 pan.
  • Pop the pan in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
