This versatile crab spread can be served warm or cold. Either way, it's delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 pound canned crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 celery rib, finely chopped
Paprika and pimiento-stuffed olives, optional
Assorted crackers or Italian bread slices

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, pickle relish and lemon juice until blended. Stir in the crab, onion and celery. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with paprika and olives if desired. Serve with crackers. , Or spread on slices of bread. Place on a baking sheet; broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.

1/2 cup KRAFT Real Mayo
1 tsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 lb. lump crabmeat, cooked, flaked
1/4 cup finely chopped green and/or red pepper
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion

Steps:

  • Mix mayo, mustard, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce in medium bowl.
  • Add crabmeat, peppers and onion; mix lightly. Cover.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until chilled. Serve with cut-up fresh vegetables and/or your favorite crackers. Store leftover spread in refrigerator.

1 cup half-and-half cream
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 to 10 drops hot pepper sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) crabmeat, drained and cartilage removed
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine the first 12 ingredients. Cook and stir over low heat until the mixture is smooth. Add the crab and heat through. Serve with crackers.

1 package Velveeta cheese, at room temperature
1 can crabmeat, drained
1/4 lb butter or 1/4 lb margarine, at room temperature

Steps:

  • Blend together butter and cheese.
  • Add crabmeat and mix.
  • Spoon over muffins or rye bread.
  • Broil under pre-heated broiler until brown and bubbly.
  • Cut into bite size pieces.

1/4 c mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 Tbsp prepared horseradish

dash of paprika

  • 1. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except paprika; mix well. Spoon into serving bowl. Cover; refrigerate several hours or overnight to blend flavors.

3 T minced onion
1 T milk
1 t prepared horseradish
1/4 t salt
1/8 t ground pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. Toast almonds if desired. In bowl, stir cream cheese, onion, milk, horseradish, salt and pepper until blended. Stir in crabmeat. Spread mixture in shallow 9-inch ceramic or glass baking dish. Sprinkle almonds over, if desired. Bake 20-25 minutes until edges brown and center bubbles. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Serve with crackers.
