MEDITERRANEAN FISH SOUP
This is a very hearty soup from the Mediterranean. If you prefer a heartier soup, add more fish.

Steps:
- Place onion, green bell pepper, garlic, tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives, orange juice, wine, bay leaves, dried basil, fennel seeds, and pepper into a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on low 4 to 4 1/2 hours or until vegetables are crisp tender.
- Stir in shrimp and cod. Cover. Cook 15 to 30 minutes, or until shrimp are opaque. Remove and discard bay leaves. Serve.

COMFORT FISH SOUP
This recipe I made one fine day when I wanted to make something very simple, yet very tasty...and boy was it.

Steps:
- 1. in a large pot, saute the onions in olive oil, add garlic, diced potatoes and sliced carrots.
- 2. add 2 liters of water, bring to a gentle boil about 20 mins.. till potatoes & carrots are fork tender
- 3. meanwhile cut your fish into nice big chunks, place into pot, simmer for another 20mins... add the oregano and cilantro, salt & pepper to taste....
