Wassail is a delicious and warming beverage that has traditionally been used in Christmas festivities. This is a unique recipe because it's made in the coffee pot! I got it from my aunt.

- Combine liquids in coffee percolator.
- Place sugar and spices in brew basket.
- Perk as you would coffee.
- Serve hot.

WASSAIL II
A non-alcoholic version which may be served from a 30 cup electric coffee server. Use between 2 and 3 cinnamon sticks, to suit your tastes.

Steps:
- In a large pot over medium heat, combine the cranberry juice, sugar and water. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Place the cinnamon, allspice and clove into a cheesecloth bag and tie shut. Add to the liquid and simmer 20 minutes.
- Remove spice bag. Just before serving, add fruit juices. Serve steaming hot.

COFFEE POT WASSAIL (SALLYE)
This is an easy version of the traditional English wassail. It's a snap to make and leaving it in the percolator keeps it warm and ready to serve.

Steps:
- Place brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves and salt in the top basket. Set aside.
- Place all remaining ingredients in the pot.
- Return basket to top of pot.
- Switch pot on and percolate as you normally would coffee or other beverages. Wait for the wonderful smells to surround you.
