This cleaner is great on windows, mirrors and kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

Number Of Ingredients 2

2 cups Peel of Orange (Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit or Pomelo (more or less))
2 cups Plain White Vinegar

Steps:

  • Fill a mason jar with the peels. Your jar should be at least half full.
  • Add vinegar to cover the peels.
  • Seal tightly with a non-metal lid (the vinegar will corrode the metal).
  • Allow to infuse for 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Strain contents through a fine mesh sieve or a fine mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter if there is too much pulp in your mix.
  • Use as an all-purpose cleaner.

An infusion of citrus fruit peels and vinegar are soaked for 2 weeks to create a citrus scented cleaning spray. Once the vinegar is ready, discard the peels and add the vinegar to a spray bottle filled 3/4 of the way with water. Source: www.JamHands.net

2 large oranges
2 large lemons
- vinegar
- water (used later, see directions)

Steps:

  • If you'd like, juice the lemons and oranges first and save the juice for other uses. Using a spoon, scrape out the fleshy parts, leaving just the outer skin and the white pith.
  • Add to a quart size jar. Fill with vinegar and cap the jar. Let sit for about 2 weeks, then strain out the peels. Rinse out the canning jar. Add the strained liquid back to the jar & cap. This is the concentrated cleaning solution.
  • To prepare for use you will need a clean spray bottle (size of your choosing) and a funnel. Fill the spray bottle 3/4 of the way up with water. Using the funnel, pour in the citrus vinegar mix into the spray bottle. Shake to combine. Store this solution in the fridge.
