- In a microwave, melt candy coating; stir until smooth. Stir in extract., Dip crackers in candy coating mixture; allow excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper. Decorate with candies and colored sugar as desired. Let stand until set.

Steps:
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and beat well.
- Combine flour with baking powder and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Drop onto greased cookie sheet in marble-sized balls.
- Press flat with bottom of greased glass dipped in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Bake in 350°F oven 10 minutes.
- Remove from cookie sheet and cool.

CHOCOLATE-DIPPED CINNAMON THINS

Steps:
- Combine flour, cinnamon, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar; beat well. Add egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture at low speed just until blended.
- Place dough on sheet of waxed paper. using waxed paper to hold dough, roll back and forth to form log about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 12 inches long. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 2 hours or until firm. (Log may be frozen up to 3 months; thaw in refrigerator before baking.)
- Preheat oven to 350F. Cut dough into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until set. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. Dip each cookie into melted chocolate, coating 1 inch up sides. Transfer to wire racks or waxed paper; let stand at room temperature about 30 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store cookies between sheets of waxed paper at room temperature or in refrigerator.
