Number Of Ingredients 5

12 ounces white candy coating, chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon extract
30 Ritz crackers
12 finely crushed cinnamon hard candies
Red colored sugar

Steps:

  • In a microwave, melt candy coating; stir until smooth. Stir in extract., Dip crackers in candy coating mixture; allow excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper. Decorate with candies and colored sugar as desired. Let stand until set.

This recipe was found on a C & H sugar box. If you need a sweet-tooth fix, this will do it. Great with a spot of tea!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup soft butter (1 stick) or 1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar, mixed with the cinnamon

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and beat well.
  • Combine flour with baking powder and salt.
  • Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Drop onto greased cookie sheet in marble-sized balls.
  • Press flat with bottom of greased glass dipped in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Bake in 350°F oven 10 minutes.
  • Remove from cookie sheet and cool.

Chocolate-Dipped Cinnamon Thins image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) butter, softened
1 cup(s) powdered sugar
1 - egg
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
4 ounce(s) bittersweet chocolate, melted

Steps:

  • Combine flour, cinnamon, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar; beat well. Add egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture at low speed just until blended.
  • Place dough on sheet of waxed paper. using waxed paper to hold dough, roll back and forth to form log about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 12 inches long. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 2 hours or until firm. (Log may be frozen up to 3 months; thaw in refrigerator before baking.)
  • Preheat oven to 350F. Cut dough into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until set. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. Dip each cookie into melted chocolate, coating 1 inch up sides. Transfer to wire racks or waxed paper; let stand at room temperature about 30 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store cookies between sheets of waxed paper at room temperature or in refrigerator.
