Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (18 1/2 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
5 tablespoons butter or 5 tablespoons margarine
1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour 13x9-inch pan.
  • In large bowl, combine cake mix, pie filling almond extract and eggs; stir until blended.
  • Spread in greased and floured pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • In small saucepan, combine sugar, milk and margarine.
  • Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until smooth.
  • Pour and spread over warm bars.
  • Cool completely and cut into bars.

4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Filling:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup coffee cream
1/4 cup sherry
1 cup chopped walnuts
-----------------------
Topping:
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate pieces
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Melt chocolate and butter over hot water (in a double boiler); mix together and set aside to cool slightly. Beat eggs in mixing bowl until light. Gradually cream in sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Beat 1 minute. Stir in chocolate mixture and pour into greased and floured 10x14-inch pan. Bake 25 minutes. Cool! Filling: Beat butter and sugar together while gradually adding cream and sherry; mixture should be light and fluffy. Mix in walnuts. Spread over base and chill. Topping: Melt chocolate pieces with butter and water over hot water. Mix well. Dribble over filling. Chill until firm. Cut into 1x2-inch bars.

Sherry brought these yummy bar cookies to Robin's house 8-18-18 when we had the family get together. They were absolutely amazing, and I would have sworn they had coconut in them (so I might try adding some when I bake them! LOL).

1 cup(s) brown sugar
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
2 cup(s) flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 cup(s) oatmeal
16 ounce(s) chocolate chips
1 tablespoon(s) water (i omitted)

Steps:

  • Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift and add flour, soda, powder and salt. Add oatmeal and chocolate chips. Add water.
  • Press into greased jelly roll pan. (Mine is the silver 11x16, measured edge to edge, and it was perfect). Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 min. Mine took 10 min longer.

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1-1/2 cups dried cherries
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup pistachios, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, mix cracker crumbs and butter. Press into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. In a large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients until blended; carefully spread over crust., Bake 25-28 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
