1 cup margarine
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets with non-stick cooking spray (I use butter flavored) and set aside.
  • Combine cream cheese, margarine, and sugars. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add chocolate chips and mix.
  • Bake 15-18 minutes or until edges are slightly browned. Enjoy!

1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup butter, softened
1 ⅓ cups white sugar
1 egg

⅓ cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Sift flour and baking soda together in a bowl.
  • Combine cream cheese and butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; beat until smooth and creamy. Gradually beat in sugar and egg. Stir in melted chocolate chips. Add flour mixture, white chocolate chips, and nuts; stir until combined.

1/2 cup shortening
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl and beat at low speed until smooth and creamy.

2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup mixed peanut butter chips and chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Beat sugar, cream cheese and vanilla together until smooth and creamy. Unroll the crescent roll sheet onto lightly floured surface. Stretch the dough out, I use a rolling pin to do this, then trim the edges to give it a good rectangular shape. A pizza cutter is great for trimming edges of dough. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top of the crescent sheet, leaving a gap at the edge about 1/2 inch. Sprinkle your chips on top of cream cheese. Press them in lightly to aid in rolling. Roll the crescent sheet up tightly and wrap in cling wrap. Place in freezer for at least 2 hours it won't get really solid as the cream cheese mix won't freeze hard. When chilled. preheat oven to 350°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (prevents sticking and helps in cleanup). Slice the crescent roll into 1/4" slices. 1/4 c powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
12 pieces chocolate chip cookie dough, frozen

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Mix together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla.
  • 3. Drop teaspoons of cream cheese mixture on to waxed paper and place in freezer for 1 hour.
  • 4. Flatten one piece of cookie dough and place on teaspoon of frozen cream cheese mixture in center.
  • 5. Fold dough around mixture and roll between hands to smooth out cracks. Repeat process for remaining cookies.

A friend of mine bought me a similar cookie at a local fast-food sub-sandwich shop and I knew I'd have to try to match it. Here's my take and I like them even better!

8 Tbsp unsalted butter
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c granulated white sugar
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp table salt
3/4 c (about 4.5 ounces) chopped dried cranberries
3/4 c (about 5.5 ounces) white chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Set an oven rack in the center position and preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet (or two 1/2-sheets) with parchment paper.
  • 2. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle blade, beat the butter, cream cheese and sugar together until they are light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Mix in the flour and salt until just incorporated. Mix in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips. Scrape down the bowl and, make sure everything is evenly mixed.
  • 3. Drop the batter in rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet(s), leaving about 1 1/2 inches between each cookie. I use a #50 (about 1 1/3 tablespoons) portion scoop and get 24 cookies. Bake them for about 12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Do not over-bake or the cookies won't be chewy. Let them cool slightly on the sheet, then, using a spatula, remove them to a rack to cool completely.

3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch salt, optional and to taste
2 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks (I used 1 cup chips and 1 1/4 cups chunks)

Steps:

  • 1.To the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter, cream cheese (measure it by smooshing it into a 1/4-cup measure), sugars, egg, vanilla, and beat on medium-high speed until well-creamed, light and fluffy, about 5 minutes (or use an electric hand mixer and beat for at least 7 minutes). 2.Stop, scrape down the sides of the bowl, and add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, optional salt, and mix until just combined, about 1 minute. 3.Add chocolate chips and chunks, and beat momentarily to incorporate, or fold in by hand. 4.Using a medium 2-inch cookie scoop, form heaping mounds (I made 28). Place mounds on a large plate, flatten mounds slightly with your palm, cover with plasticwrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 5 days, before baking. Do not bake with warm dough because cookies will spread and bake thinner and flatter. 5.Preheat oven to 350F, line a baking sheet with a Silpat Non-Stick Baking Mat or spray with cooking spray and place mounds on baking sheet, spaced at least 2 inches apart (I bake 8 cookies per sheet). Bake for 8 to 9 minutes, or until edges have set and tops are just beginning to set, even if slightly undercooked, pale and glossy in the center. Do not bake longer than 10 minutes as cookies will firm up as they cool. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing and transferring to a rack to finish cooling. 6.Cookies will keep airtight at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. 1 c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp grated orange peel
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 c finely chopped blanched almonds
GLAZE
5 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
3 Tbsp butter
1/4 c finely chopped blanched almonds

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and orange peel. Combine the flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in almonds.
  • 2. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 325 degree for 20 - 25 minutes, or until firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  • 3. For glaze: In a microwave, melt chocolate and butter; stir until smooth. Dip each cookie halfway into chocolate; allow excess to drip off. Immediately sprinkle with almonds. Place on waxed paper till set.
