Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 c sifted powdered sugar
1 - 8 oz philly cream cheese
4 - 1 oz bakers unsweetened chocolate squares, melted, about 1 minute and 30 second in the microwave
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
1/2 c chopped nuts

Steps:

  • 1. Gather ingredients
  • 2. I have made this with cream cheese straight out of the fridge. It's easier if its softened before hand..but the mixer will soften it after a minute or two.. Gradually add sugar to cream cheese mixing well after each addition.
  • 3. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Spread into greased 8 - inch square pan. Chill several hours, cut into squares.
  • 4. In this picture, the fudge is lighter, because I was out of the unsweetened chocolate, so I used semi sweet.
  • 5. Nobody that has ever tried this believes all the more there is to making it..and is melt in the mouth good!

CHOCOLATE CHEESE FUDGE

Chocolate Cheese Fudge image

Over the years I tried to make traditional fudge. I guess I just don't get the 'soft-ball' concept. I would usually end up using my fudge for frosting a cake. This fudge never fails. No guessing and perfect every time...even for a candy-making challenged person such as myself. And you don't have to tell anyone it has cheese in...

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 lb velvetta cheese, cubed
1 c real butter (unsalted)
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped nuts, pecans or walnuts (optional)
2 lb powdered sugar
1/2 c cocoa powder

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly spray the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan or dish with non-stick spray.
  • 2. In a large bowl, sift together the sugar and cocoa powder.
  • 3. Melt Velvetta and butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • 4. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
  • 5. Pour cheese mixture into the sugar and cocoa mixture. I stir with a spoon, just until moistened then I use latex gloves and mix it with my hands until all the sugar is mixed in.

this recipe can be cut in half , but my family really like it , so i make enough to last a day or to ! it probably should be kept in the fridge . I don't know how long it will keep , because it doesn't last long at my house .I found that if you put on plastic gloves , you can stir it with your hands , it's easier . than dump it...

Steps:

  • 1. in a large bowl , combine sugar , and cocoa , mix well , set aside .
  • 2. cut cheese and butter into small pieces , and melt until smooth and creamy . being careful that it doesn't scorch . I heat mine in the microwave , for 2 to 4 minutes .

  • 4. there is no need to butter the pan , as the cheese and butter in the candy is enough , that it will not stick
