Number Of Ingredients 9

1 package (16 ounces) corn chips
1 can (11-1/2 ounces) mixed nuts
1 package (11 ounces) pretzel sticks
1 package (6.6 ounces) Goldfish cheddar crackers
1 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine corn chips, nuts, pretzels and crackers. In a small saucepan, bring butter, brown sugar, garlic powder and chili powder to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda. Pour over snack mixture and toss to coat. , Transfer to three greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly toasted. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in airtight containers.

Chili Snack Mix image

I love anything salty and spicy, so this recipe shared with me by my sister is a hit!

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 c bite-size saltine crackers
1 can(s) mixed nuts (11.5 oz)
3 Tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2. Combine crackers and nuts in a large bowl. Mix melted butter and seasonings together and drizzle over cracker mixture. Toss to coat.
  • 3. Spread onto the bottom of a foil-lined 15x10x1 inch pan.
  • 4. Bake 10 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring after 5 minutes.
  • 5. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container or Ziploc bag.
  • 6. Note: for a burst of flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper to the butter and other seasonings before drizzling over the crackers.

1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons finely grated pecorino
2 garlic cloves, finely grated
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
Seasoned salt, such as Lawry's, to taste
3 cups rice, corn or wheat cereal (or a mix), such as Chex
2 cups mini pretzels
1 cup fruit-flavored cereal rings, such as Fruit Loops
1 cup mini cheese crackers
1 cup salted roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Combine the Parmesan, butter, pecorino, garlic, Worcestershire, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and seasoned salt in a large bowl.
  • Add the rice cereal, pretzels, fruit-flavored cereal, cheese crackers and peanuts to the bowl of seasonings and toss gently. Spread the cereal mix on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the snack mix in the oven, stirring every 20 minutes, until dried out and lightly toasted, about 1 hour.
  • Cool completely before serving.

1 bag (3 oz) fat-free butter-flavor microwave popcorn, popped
1/4 cup dry-roasted peanuts
3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300°F. In very large bowl, mix cereal, popcorn and peanuts. Drizzle with oil; toss until evenly coated.
  • In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over cereal mixture. Toss until evenly coated. Spread cereal mixture in ungreased large roasting pan.
  • Bake uncovered 15 minutes, stirring once. Spread on waxed paper to cool, about 10 minutes. Store in airtight container.
