"CHICKEN LICKIN' GOOD" PORK CHOPS



Here's and old standby I enjoy from time to time. It's from an old newspaper clipping I cut out years ago. Very tasty.

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 -8 lean pork chops, 1 inch thick
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons oil
1 can chicken rice soup, undiluted

Steps:

  • Dredge pork chops in mixture of flour, salt, dry mustard and garlic powder.
  • Brown in oil in a large skillet.
  • Place browned pork chops in a crock pot.
  • Add the can of soup, undiluted.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours (or high for 3 1/2 hours).

This recipe came from a Rival Crock Pot booklet from the 1970's that I tweaked to my own preference. One of my family's favorite meals. Pork will be so tender you can cut it with a fork. Photos are from Google Images.

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 - 8 lean pork chops 3/4 to 1" thick
1 c flour
milk to dredge
2 Tbsp dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp garlic powder
pepper to taste
2 Tbsp oil
2 can(s) chicken and rice soup

Steps:

  • 1. Dredge pork chops milk, then in mixture of flour, salt, dry mustard, garlic salt, garlic powder and pepper.
  • 2. Brown (do not cook) in oil in large skillet.
  • 3. Place browned pork chops in crock pot.
  • 4. Pour can soup over top.
  • 5. Cover and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours. (High: 3-1/2 to 4 hours)

2 tablespoons oils
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can chicken and rice soup

Steps:

  • Mix flour, salt, dry mustard and garlic powder dredge pork chops and brown in oil. Put in crockpot and add soup. Cover, cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
