3 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
2/3 cup Miracle Whip
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls
2/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup slivered almonds
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large saucepan, combine base ingredients.
  • Cook over medium heat until mixture is bubbly.
  • Pour into greased 9x13 pan.
  • Separate crescent dough into two rectangles.
  • Place dough over hot chicken mixture.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  • Spread over dough.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes.

3 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1 tablespoon diced pimientos
1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, salt and pepper until smooth. Stir in chicken, milk, onion and pimientos. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into four rectangles; place on an ungreased baking sheet an press perforations together. , Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture into the center of each rectangle. Bring edges up to the center and pinch to seal. Brush with remaining butter; sprinkle with crumbs. , Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup shredded cooked chicken
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
2/3 cup condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1/2 cup milk

Steps:

  • Separate crescent dough into eight triangles. Combine the chicken and 2 tablespoons cheese; place about 2 tablespoonfuls on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown., Meanwhile, in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, combine soup, milk and remaining cheese. Cook until heated through and cheese is melted. Serve over crescents.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large whole boneless chicken breast with the skin (about 1 pound), halved
1/4 cup slice almonds
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup water
1 garlic clove, minced and mashed to a paste with a pinch of salt
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley leaves
fresh lemon juice to taste

Steps:

  • In a heavy skillet heat the oil over moderately high heat until it is hot but not smoking and in it brown the chicken, patted dry and seasoned with salt and pepper, for 2 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to moderately low, cook the chicken for 6 minutes more on each side, or until it is cooked through, and transfer it to 2 heated plates.
  • Cook the almonds in the oil remaining in the skillet over moderate heat, stirring, for 1 minute, or until they are golden, and transfer them with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain. Add to the skillet the wine, the water, and the garlic paste and boil the mixture until it is reduced by half. Remove the skillet from the heat, stir in the butter, the parsley, the almonds, the lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste, and spoon the almond sauce over the chicken.

I don't remember where this recipe came from but it is quick, easy, and good...the three things that I am always looking for in a recipe. Served with rice and broccoli, it is much requested meal.

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
margarine or butter
1/3 cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoons lemon juice
parsley sprig (to garnish)

Steps:

  • On waxed paper, mix flour, salt, and pepper; use to coat chicken breasts.
  • In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in 1 tablespoon hot margarine or butter, cook chicken breasts until browned and fork-tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove chicken to platter.
  • In same skillet over medium heat, in 1 more tablespoon hot margarine or butter, cook almonds until lightly browned.
  • Stir in lemon juice.
  • Spoon sauce over chicken.
  • Garnish with parsley sprigs.

1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
2/3 cup condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted

1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
1 can (5 ounces) white chicken, drained, or 3/4 cup cubed cooked chicken
2 tablespoons chopped onion

Steps:

  • Arrange crescent rolls on a 12-in. pizza pan, forming a ring with pointed ends facing the outer edge of pan and wide ends overlapping., Combine the remaining ingredients; spoon over wide ends of rolls.
