CHERRY ORANGE DELIGHT

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 1/2 c boiling water
12 oz cherry jello
2 3/4 c cold water
15 oz mandarin oranges, drained
4 oz cream cheese
2 Tbsp sugar
8 oz cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl all jello and boiling water; stir until dissolved. Add cold water and stir. Refrigerate until it starts to set.
  • 2. To the partially set jello add oranges; stir gently, set aside.
  • 3. In mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar; add cool whip and beat until mixed. Spoon cream cheese mixture on to the bottom of a 8x8 baking dish; smoothing the mixture out evenly. Pour jello mixture over the cream cheese. Refrigerate until firm.

2-1/2 cups boiling water
3 packages (4-serving size each) JELL-O Brand Cherry Flavor Gelatin
2-3/4 cups cold water
1 can (11-ounce OR 15-ounce) DOLE Mandarin Oranges, drained
4 ounces (1/2 of 8-ounce package) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tub (8-ounce) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Steps:

  • STIR boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes or until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate about 1-1/4 hours or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites). Reserve a few mandarin oranges for garnish. Gently stir remaining mandarin oranges into gelatin; set aside. BEAT cream cheese and sugar in separate medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spoon into 2 1/2 quart serving bowl; cover with gelatin mixture. REFRIGERATE 2 hours or until firm. Garnish with reserved mandarin oranges.
