1 tablespoon olive oil
1 can (15 ounces) vegetarian chili with beans
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. Place fries on an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan; drizzle with oil and toss to coat. Bake according to package directions., Divide fries among four 2-cup baking dishes; top each with chili and cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, 5-7 minutes. Serve with toppings as desired.

  • Bake 4 cups curly fries as the label directs. Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce: Melt 1 stick butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup flour and whisk until smooth, 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 1 cup milk and a pinch of nutmeg; whisk until smooth, 3 minutes. Add 8 ounces cubed Velveeta cheese and whisk until melted, about 5 minutes. Whisk in 1/4 cup lager beer or chicken broth, 1 teaspoon hot sauce and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Add the fries and toss.

4 large russet potatoes
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons canola oil, divided use
1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided use
1 small onion, sliced thin
parsley (to garnish) (optional)

Steps:

  • Microwave potatoes as you would for a baked potato, but cook until*slightly* underdone- 4 take 12-14 minutes on my microwave (or use leftover baked/cooked potatoes).
  • When cool enough to handle, quarter potatoes and then cut into about 1 inch pieces (we leave the skins on).
  • Heat 2 tbl of butter or oil in a large non-stick skillet (or if you just cooked bacon in the pan, you can reserve some of the bacon grease and use that to fry in).
  • On medium heat, add onions and cook until 1 or 2 minutes before adding potatoes, salt and pepper, stirring to combine.
  • Let cook for a few minutes, flipping or stirring gently, until onions are tender and potatoes are to desired crispness.
  • If necessary, add additional butter or oil to prevent sticking.
  • Remove home fries from pan and transfer into microwavable casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle with one cup of cheese and fold in gently.
  • Sprinkle remaining cup of cheese on top and microwave for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Sprinkle a bit of parsley on top, if desired.

2 1/2 c frozen cottage fries (half of 2-lb bag) i used waffle fries...they work well also
1 1/2 c chopped or shredded deli rotisserie chicken (without skin)
1 1/2 c shredded, cheddar cheese
1/4 c mayonnaise
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder, i use hot mexican chili powder
1/2 c chopped, precooked bacon..i used hormel bacon pieces
4 scallions, sliced, plus the ends ( optional)
c sour cream, salsa for dipping, or whatever sauce you prefer

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 450 degree F. Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. Bake cottage fries as directed on bag. About 20 minutes. Note: I made these without lining with foil..I just sprayed the pan with cooking spray..they turned out fine..
  • 2. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix chicken, mayonnaise, garlic powder and chili powder.
  • 3. Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese evenly over the hot fries.
  • 4. Spoon chicken mixture evenly over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and the bacon.
  • 5. Bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle on the scallions, serve with sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce. These are so flavorful, and quite satisfying...serving a lot of people? Double the recipe. I used a whole bag of the fries, and doubled the rest of the recipe..

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the halved potatoes, olive oil, butter, garlic salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  • Tear 4 large sheets of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil, each about 16 inches long. Divide the potato mixture evenly between the sheets of foil. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Place the packets on a baking sheet and transfer to the oven. Cook for 25 minutes.
  • Remove one packet from the oven. Open packet carefully by cutting along top fold with a sharp knife, allowing steam to escape; then open top of foil packet. Check to see if the potatoes are fully cooked and fork tender; if not, return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
  • Once cooked, open up the packets and top each portion of potatoes with cheese and herbs. Let the cheese melt before serving. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4-6 Potatoes
1/4 cup olive oil

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup (or as much as you like) Shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Cut potatoes into "steak french fries" size. {I like them thicker...but that means it will also take a little longer to cook than skinny ones.} Place on foiled baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and lightly toss with tongs. Sprinkle salts and pepper over the potatoes. 1/3 cup grape jelly or 1/3 cup seedless raspberry jam
3 cups frozen waffle cut French-fried potatoes or 3 cups frozen thick cut French-fried potatoes
4 slices ready-to-serve cooked bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs, finely chopped
2 tablespoons honey-roasted walnuts or 2 tablespoons almonds, finely chopped
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
8 ounces uncooked ground chicken or 8 ounces uncooked ground turkey
1/2 cup shredded monterey jack pepper cheese or 1/2 cup shredded gorgonzola
snipped fresh chives
8 dinner rolls or 8 cocktail-sized hamburger buns, split
sliced tomatoes
sliced lettuce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F Combine the 1/3 cup barbecue sauce and the jelly or jam. Mix with a wire whisk until smooth. Set aside.
  • Arrange waffle-cut potatoes or thick-cut french fried potatoes in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with chopped bacon. Bake for 8 minutes.

  • Preheat the oven to broil. In a deep-fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat enough canola oil to come halfway up the sides of the pot, to 375 degrees F.
  • Slice the potatoes into 1/4-inch thick french fries. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy; about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towel lined sheet tray and put them in a large baking dish. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in the flour and the garlic. Add the wine and beef stock and bring to a simmer.
  • In a small bowl, combine the water and cornstarch. Slowly whisk the mixture into the stock and cook until thickened, roughly 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Remove the pan from heat, and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Ladle the gravy over the fries and sprinkle with the cheese. Put the fries in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Remove the fries from oven, sprinkle with chopped chives and serve.
