I think these just might be my dogs favorite treats, But dogs like everything right?

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup(s) rolled oats
1/3 cup(s) margarine
1 cup(s) boiling water
3/4 cup(s) cornmeal
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
2 teaspoon(s) chicken or beef flavored instant bouillon
1/2 cup(s) milk
1 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
1 large egg
2-3 cup(s) whole wheat flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven 325 degrees.Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, combine rolled oats, margarine and boiled water; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in cornmeal, sugar, bouillon, milk, cheese, and egg; mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form a stiff dough. On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer sticky, 3 or 4 minutes. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with bone shaped cookie cutter or anything you have. Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes on until golden brown. Cool Completely. Store loosely covered. Makes 3 1/2 dozen large dog biscuits or 8 dozen small biscuits.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/3 cup whole milk

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine flour and cheese. Stir in butter until combined. Gradually add milk just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 8-10 times. , Roll dough into a 12x9-in. rectangle; cut into 3x1-in. strips. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand in the oven with the door slightly open until cooled completely. Store in an airtight container.

1 cup boiling water

1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons instant chicken bouillon or 2 teaspoons instant beef bouillon
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  • Grease cookie sheets.

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cups cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 lb margarine
1 garlic clove (crushed)
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup milk (or as needed)

Steps:

  • Grate the cheese into a bowl and let stand until it reaches room temperature. Cream the cheese with the softened margarine, garlic, salt and flour. Add enough milk to form into a ball.
  • Chill for 1/2 hour. Roll onto floured board. Cut into shapes and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until slightly brown, and firm. Makes 2 to 3 dozen, depending on size.
  • Yield: 24 biscuits.
