½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon cumin
1 ½ teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
olive oil, to taste
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese
¾ cup cheese blend
12 flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C).
  • In a bowl, add the paprika, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and mix to combine.
  • Place the chicken breasts on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, pour half of the seasoning over the chicken and spread on both sides of the chicken. Save the remaining seasoning for later.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165˚F (75˚C).
  • Shred cooked chicken.
  • Add cream cheese, cheese blend, and remaining seasoning. Mix well.
  • Place a couple of scoops of the chicken mixture across the bottom third of a flour tortilla.
  • Roll up tightly and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Enjoy!

This is a favorite of my family. Also a favorite of mine because it is very quick to put together. I modified it from a recipe found in a Land O Lakes recipe brochure. I use turkey instead of chicken because it is available pre-packaged at my local grocery store.

1 lb ground chicken (I use ground turkey)
1 cup taco sauce (you choose the heat)
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
10 taco shells
shredded lettuce
sour cream
sliced black olives
chopped tomato

Steps:

  • In large skillet, cook chicken or turkey over medium-high heat until it is no longer pink.
  • Stir in taco sauce.
  • Continue cooking until mixture just starts to boil.
  • Add cheese.
  • Remove from heat and stir just until cheese is melted.
  • Meanwhile, warm taco shells according to package directions.
  • Spoon into taco shells and serve with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, black olives or any other taco fixings your family enjoys.

¾ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground paprika
¼ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 drizzle olive oil, or to taste
¾ cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
½ (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
12 (8 inch) flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix oregano, onion powder, salt, paprika, chili powder, cumin, and pepper together in a bowl until well combined.
  • Place chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Spread 1/2 of the seasoning mixture on both sides of chicken.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, flipping halfway through cooking time, until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the chicken reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer chicken to a cutting board. Leave the oven on, and line baking sheet with a fresh piece of parchment paper.
  • Shred cooked chicken with 2 forks and transfer to a bowl. Mix in Mexican cheese, cream cheese, and remaining seasoning blend until well combined. Place a couple of scoops of the mixture across the bottom 1/3 of a tortilla. Roll up tightly and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining mixture and tortillas.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden and crispy, about 15 minutes.

1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning mix, Cheesy (I always use Old El Paso)
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 red onion
5 -7 soft flour tortillas
1 (8 ounce) package santa fe pinto red beans and rice mix

Steps:

  • Prepare your rice according to the instructions on the package.
  • Cut the chicken into thin strips.
  • Brown in a skillet over medium-high heat. Follow instructions on the package of taco seasoning mix.
  • Slice the bell peppers and onion then saute them in a skillet.

4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1 Tbsp. TACO BELL® Taco Seasoning Mix
1/2 cup each finely chopped green peppers and onions
1/2 cup KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese
8 corn tortillas (6 inch), warmed
1/4 cup TACO BELL® Mild Sauce

Steps:

  • Cook and stir bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 1 Tbsp. drippings from skillet.
  • Add chicken to reserved drippings; stir to evenly coat chicken with drippings. Spread chicken to evenly cover bottom of skillet; sprinkle with taco seasoning. Cook 2 min. (Do not stir.)

1 teaspoon salt
1 can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy three cheese cooking sauce
1 jar (16 oz) Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa
1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix
1 box (4.7 oz) Old El Paso® Stand 'N Stuff® taco shells (10 shells), heated as directed on package
Shredded Cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped green onions
Sour cream
Fresh cilantro leaves

Steps:

  • Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place chicken in slow cooker; sprinkle with salt. Top with cheese sauce, salsa and taco seasoning; stir to combine.
  • Cover; cook on High heat setting 4 hours (or on Low heat setting 8 hours).
  • Remove chicken from slow cooker to plate; shred with 2 forks. Return chicken to slow cooker; toss with cooking liquid. Spoon warm chicken mixture into heated taco shells. Serve with toppings of choice.
