1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 medium shallot, minced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/4 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary

Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 ½ teaspoons butter
3 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 ½ teaspoons white sugar
2 cups shredded aged Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup chopped green onions
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup finely crushed cheese-flavored crackers (such as Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish)
12 pretzel sticks
1 small bunch fresh parsley, or to taste

Steps:

THE BEST CHEESEBALL

The Best Cheeseball image

Super simple and delicious. I made 1 cheeseball, but this recipe makes 4 cheeseballs. Feel free to cut the recipe back if you don't want quite that much delicious cheeseball floating around. I have a friend who makes this for Christmas gifts. Serving size is estimated. Recipe courtesy of My Kitchen Cafe.

Time 15m

Yield 4 cheeseballs, 32 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

32 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 cup pecans, finely chopped for rolling

Steps:

  • Place finely chopped pecans in a shallow dish and set aside.
  • In a large bowl (or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment), mix the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the cheddar cheese and mix until just combined.
  • Lightly sprinkle all the seasonings and sauces over the cheese mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • With lightly greased hands, portion the cheese mixture into 4 pieces and roll each section into a round ball.
  • Coat in pecans.
  • The easiest way to do this is to hold the cheeseball in one and and scoop up the pecans and press them onto the cheeseball with the other, turning the cheeseball as you go and letting the excess pecans fall back into the dish (this helps the pecans go farther).
  • Cover each cheeseball in saran wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

THE BEST CHEESEBALL EVER

The Best Cheeseball Ever image

I was skeptical about the pineapple in this recipe, but you really can't tell that's what it is. It was delicious, and I'd make this again. I rolled mine in spicy almonds. Super simple, and delicious. Serving size is estimated.

Provided by AmyZoe

Categories     < 15 Mins

Time 15m

Yield 10-15 2 cheese balls

Number Of Ingredients 5

16 ounces cream cheese, softened (at room temperature)
15 1/4 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
2 teaspoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
3 green onions, chopped (or more depending on your taste)
chopped pecans or chopped walnuts, for coating

Steps:

  • Whip cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  • Add the pineapple, seasoned salt, and green onions until well mixed.
  • Form mixture into a ball. This was easier if I refrigerated the cheese ball for an hour before this step. I also found I preferred splitting this into 2 normal sized cheese balls instead of 1 huge cheese ball because it was easier to handle.
  • Roll the ball in the nuts.
  • Serve with crackers.

Provided by Jill Davidson

Categories     Other Desserts

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c softened butter (no substitutes)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 c confectioners' sugar
3/4 c crushed pineapple, well drained
toasted coconut
graham crackers

Steps:

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter & vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beat until just combined. Stir in pineapple.
  • 2. Cover and refrigerate two hours.
  • 3. Place cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap and shape into a ball
  • 4. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • 5. If you choose, just before serving, roll cheese ball in toasted coconut. Serve with graham crackers.
  • 6. I usually put it in a dip bowl & just top with coconut since it can be kind of soft to make into a ball
  • 7. You can also take the basic recipe (recipe minus pineapple & coconut***use only 3/4 c powdered sugar since there isn't juice from the pineapple) & make it your own with toffee chips, caramel bits, PB chips, White Chocolate, etc just make sure they are small pieces.
